A Japanese commercial for Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 has confirmed that Nintendo is planning to make a Pokemon-related announcement on January 8.
The commercial promises to reveal “the latest information” about the franchise’s future, but what exactly that means is a mystery. Speaking of mysteries, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity was released for the 3DS in Japan back in November. So with the first spinoff available for the handheld, perhaps this announcement of an announcement means it’s time for a proper Pokemon game on the 3DS.
