The cat’s out of the bag. Bungie and Activision have given the world its first glimpse at Destiny. We all still have a lot of questions, but one of the biggest is definitely, “When can I play it?” Rumors abound that Destiny will be ready by the end of 2013, but Activision dashed those hopes with the game’s official press release, released this morning.
Activision reiterated that although Bungie’s amazing new world was revealed today, Activision has not included the launch in its 2013 outlook and there should be no speculation or expectation of a different result.
This kind of forceful language is atypical for a press release, so I think it’s time we start believing Activision. Destiny is a 2014 game. We’re all just going to have to live with that.
