Xbox Store Today: Batman Arkham Knight, Devil May Cry 4, Tales From Borderlands Ep3

Three new games are now available on the Xbox Games Store, and all three involve rather unorthodox heroes.

Batman: Arkham Knight leads the way on the Xbox One with the finale of Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy. While “The Batman” himself is possibly the most well-known superhero in the world, his methods often verge on madness. And in Arkham Knight, that includes taking on an army of supervillains by tearing through the streets of Gotham in a heavily-armed Batmobile. As the game’s trailers often say, this is war.

Capcom’s Dante is not quite as well known as Bruce Wayne, but his penchant for stylish demon slaying has made him a favorite among gamers. And Capcom has responded by remaking his fourth adventure for the Xbox One as Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. The Special Edition includes additional playable characters, new game modes, and a sparkling 1080p/60FPS graphical upgrade.

Finally this week, Telltale Games released the third episode of their Borderlands spinoff, Tales From the Borderlands: Catch A Ride. It’s available for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, and it stars a pair of heroes who escaped “very-near-almost-certain-death” in the previous episode with the assistance of “statuesque buttocks.”

OK, there’s the unorthodoxy I’m looking for. More information on all of these games can be found after the break.

Xbox One Games

Batman: Arkham Knight ($59.99)
In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. This legendary vehicle combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate Batman experience as they tear through Gotham City.

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition ($24.99)
The smash-hit stylish action game Devil May Cry 4 is back and better than ever, boasting new playable characters and game modes!

Tales From the Borderlands: Catch A Ride ($4.99)
After a dizzying escape from a very-near-almost-certain-death scenario (involving statuesque buttocks), Rhys and Fiona find themselves looking for another piece of the puzzle that will lead them to the untold riches of Vault key ownership. Lost in the mysterious jungle of an Atlas terraforming facility, Fiona finds help from an unexpected mentor, Rhys continues to share brain-space with the disembodied mind of a dead dictator, and love is in the air. Pursued by the ruthless criminal ‘Queenpin’ Vallory, and with very little help from Vaughn’s accountancy skills (or stellar abs), getting anywhere near the Vault will be entirely up to you.
