The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, and its basement-ful of monstrous monsters, comes to the 3DS and Wii U as part of this week’s Nintendo Download. It’s joined by a variety of other titles, such as…

  • 3D Streets of Rage 2 (3DS), a portable remake of one of the best beat ’em ups from the Genesis era.
  • Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria (3DS, Wii U), a retro-styled RPG that features “warriors, princesess, pirates, zombies, and crazy old woodsmen.”
  • Legend of Kay Anniversary (Wii U) will be available on July 28 and is a brand new remake of everyone’s favorite PS2 game to star a karate cat.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth – Rebirth is a remake and expansion of The Binding of Isaac – now with new playable characters, enemies and bosses, and more than 110 new items. This totally retooled and greatly expanded version of the game also features new graphics rendered in a semi-16-bit style.

Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria – Experience an all-new old adventure! Fight your way through hordes of strange, silly, and scary monsters! The Quiet Collection – Explore, interact with your environment and solve puzzles in this bundle of four old-school adventure games: Quiet, Please!, Quiet Christmas, Vacation Vexation, and Candy, Please!

Legend of Kay Anniversary – Ten years after its initial release, Legend of Kay Anniversary is a thoroughly remastered version of the original game with high resolution textures, new & more detailed character models, modern rendering techniques and crystal-clear surround sound which give this great classic a new shine. Full of fond allusions to old martial arts films and pop culture quotes, Legend of Kay Anniversary is both an incredibly funny game and a challenging action-adventure for young and old alike. Epic Word Search Collection – Each puzzle contains over 1,500 words, hidden in a grid that’s much too large to fit on screen! To solve the word search you’ll have to scroll around the puzzle looking for words. Use the D-Pad or Circle Pad to move the grid and touch with the stylus to highlight words. This is a challenge like nothing you’ve ever seen before with many hours of gameplay in each enormous puzzle.
