It was a big week for Hideo Kojima as the legendary developer officially (and finally) parted terms with Konami. Kojima then immediately turned around and announced an alliance between his newly reformed Kojima Productions and Sony Computer Entertainment. The deal will allow the developer to produce a “console-exclusive” PS4 game in a “new franchise” for the company. That’s about all we know right now, but this is a huge get for Sony, and a huge opportunity for Kojima.

- Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is now available for iOS devices.
- System Shock 3 was officially announced by Otherside Entertainment.

- The next Super Mario Maker update will add more course parts and a web-based course search site.
- The cartridge-based Retro VGS console was rebranded as the Coleco Chameleon.
- Splatoon will get two new stages (Piranha Pit and Ancho-V Games) soon.
- Nintendo added Cloud to Super Smash Bros. For 3DS/Wii U this week and they’ll add Bayonetta and Corrin in February 2016.
- The Weeknd, Elle King, Fall Out Boy, and more were added to Rock Band 4‘s Music Store in the latest DLC Update.
- Coldwood’s Unravel will be released on February 9, 2016.
- Fable Legends won’t be released by the end of the year as originally planned. It’s been pushed back to Spring 2016 instead.
