Nintendo Download: The Adventures of Bayou Billy, Hogan’s Alley, Wild Gunman, more

Dust off your Wii Remote, because Nintendo is bringing a trio of NES-era light gun games to the Wii U eShop today…

  • Hogan’s Alley puts players on the shooting range opposite a bunch of old-timey gangsters. But watch out for those civilians!
  • The Adventures of Bayou Billy does a great impersonation of a deranged 80s action movie as players will have to survive beat ’em up levels, light gun levels, and racing levels to rescue Billy’s girlfriend from Godfather Gordon.
  • Finally, Wild Gunman transports players back to the Old West and asks them to compete in a series of high noon standoffs with a gang of outlaws.

More information on all of these games (and the rest of this week’s new releases) can be found after the break.

The Adventures of Bayou Billy – Godfather Gordon has stolen sweet Annabelle Lane. But Bayou Billy won’t rest until his girlfriend is back home safe – even if he has to wrestle crocodiles, beat up Gordon’s goons and endure a shootout! You can even play shootout scenes with the Wii Remote controller.

Hogan’s Alley – Use your split-second reflexes and sharp-shooting skills in the practice shooting range. Use the Wii Remote controller to aim and shoot at the old-timey gangsters as they turn, while avoiding the innocent bystanders. Or in another mode, shoot cans and keep them in the air until they reach the platforms.

Wild Gunman – Go back in time or relive it in today’s future with the classic Wild West shootout of Wild Gunman. Keep your hand steady on the Wii Remote controller and get the outlaw before he gets you. If you think you can win the battle against one outlaw, try winning against all of his friends.

Tabletop Gallery – Get ready to roll the dice in Tabletop Gallery. In this exciting title, you can choose from three games. Poker Dice Solitaire Future combines the single-player experience of Solitaire with the hand building mechanic of Poker. Shut the Box tests your skills at eliminating the tiles on the game board to shut the box. Toss N Go pits you up against the computer or a second player to see who can be the first one to bank 100 or more points.

Discovery – Explore a giant world made of blocks and modify it with your own creations. Construct your house, build villages, cities, monumental constructions or dig deep under the earth. Place torches or design complex electric circuits to light up your creations in the dark and enjoy beautiful day and night cycles. Build alone, or together with your friends or family members in cooperative mode.

Bigley’s Revenge – Hello Dank Memers… We have a huge problem on our hands that could end the world as we know it. Bigley and Cucumber Dog have joined forces with the illuminati to rid the world of dank memes. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to terminate the trio to save dank memes for all to enjoy.

Avoider – Ready for a challenge! Your goal in Avoider is to travel through the galaxy without taking any damage by enemy ships. Use the Wii U GamePad touch screen to navigate, and then post your high score on Miiverse for all to see. How high of a score will you get?
