Xbox Store Today: Lovely Planet, Unepic, Cubot

It’s a colorful update to the Xbox Games Store today as Lovely Planet, Unepic, and Cubot are now available to download for the Xbox One…

  • Lovely Planet is a ridiculously adorable first person shooter that gives players a Nerf gun and lets them loose in a cartoonish world of angry squares and acute triangles that seem a little mean… some might even say obtuse.
  • Unepic is a side-scrolling RPG that harkens back to the 80s.
  • And Cubot is a minimalist puzzler that asks players to move color cubes towards tiles of the same color.

More information about all of these games can be found after the break.

Xbox One Games

Lovely Planet ($9.99)
With boots of speed on your feet, an infinite supply of bullets for your semi-automatic, and the ability to jump over twice your own height, you’re well equipped to go up against any enemy on your quest to reach Lovely Planet! Balance between jumping around dodging bullets and taking aim for a better shot at your enemies, don’t waste time camping at cover spots and waiting for enemies to pop out – artfully evade the onslaught of bullets and defeat all baddies that stand in your way!

Unepic ($9.99)
The hero is called Daniel, a normal guy from today: great video game player, big lover of sci-fi movies and novice player of role-playing games. In the middle of a role-playing game with his friends, he is teleported to a castle and he thinks that he is having a massive hallucination. So he decides to run his own adventure until the hallucination ends.

Cubot ($1.99)
At first sight, Cubot is a puzzle-game with a minimalist gameplay, just move color cubes towards tiles of the same color. It’s really easy, but it will be a torture for your mind to complete all levels of the game because the apparent simplicity of the game is in contradiction with the complexity of the puzzles. Moreover, an important point in the gameplay is if you have multiple cubes, they move simultaneously!
