Nintendo Download: Metroid Prime Hunters, Kick & Fennick, Donkey Kong Country 3, more

It’s Thursday, so Nintendo is back with another update to the Nintendo eShop.

This week, platforming fans will get to try out Kick & Fennick on the Wii U. According to the developers, Kick & Fennick is an “action-filled adventure” where the titular duo “blast, bounce, and bound their way through 45 challenging levels.”

Also available for the Wii U this week is Metroid Prime Hunters, a multiplayer shooter that was originally released for the DS in 2006. Taking control of one of six bounty hunters, players will challenge Samus Aran in the search for relics from a “once-powerful warrior culture.” The Star Wars and Indiana Jones comparisons practically write themselves.

Nintendo will also bring another classic title to the New 3DS this week through the handheld’s Virtual Console service. Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie’s Double Trouble was originally released for the Super NES and serves as the capper to the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy. Fans of classic platforming should definitely give it a look.

More information on all of these games (as well as a few other new releases) can be found after the break.

Kick & Fennick – Kick & Fennick is an action-filled adventure about Kick, a young boy battling to help his robot companion, Fennick. Join them as they blast, bounce, and bound their way through 45 challenging levels. Adding a unique twist to the gameplay, Kick’s gun not only blasts baddies, but its recoil can also be used to launch the lad through various areas of each level! Puzzles, platforms and power-ups await in Kick & Fennick.

Metroid Prime Hunters – A ferocious race, now extinct, has left behind relics of its once-powerful warrior culture. Now six fierce bounty hunters from across the galaxy will challenge Samus in a race to claim these relics in hopes of harnessing their power for themselves.

B3 Game Expo For Bees – It’s just hours before the start of B3, the annual Game Expo for Bees. You are the brand new Security Bee at the Convention Hive. During your night shift, you were unable to pull yourself away from reading all the pre-B3 hype on B.Chat. Consequently you completely neglected your patrolling before accidentally drifting off to sleep in the Security Pod. Your adventure begins here. When all honey breaks loose… will you be able to save B3?

153 Hand Video Poker – One of the most fun card games you can play alone. 153 Hand Video Poker fills your screen with multiple hands. After the hands are dealt you will hear a corresponding piano chord based on the rank of that hand. So winning will be music to your ears.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie’s Double Trouble – In the third game in the Super NES Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have gone missing! Play as Dixie Kong or Kiddy Kong and take advantage of each of their unique abilities as they throw each other into action in more than 40 levels.

Sssnakes – Sssnakes is a new twist on the classic snake video game. It is an upgrade for modern times without giving up its essence. Go through the jungle to the inside of the temple, avoid the traps, move through intricate mazes and face other snakes. But above all, you will need to keep away from your biggest enemy… gluttony!
