Here’s a closeup of the controller and screen for the Nintendo Switch

nintendoswitchhardwareWe still don’t know how much it’ll cost, but here’s our first up close and personal look at the Nintendo Switch. The top-loading Dock will connect to your television and players will be able to play their favorite games by sliding the detachable controllers into the Joy-Con Grip for a traditional feel or the display screen for a handheld experience.

“Nintendo Switch allows gamers the freedom to play however they like,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s President and COO. “It gives game developers new abilities to bring their creative visions to life by opening up the concept of gaming without boundaries.”

Presumably, the Pro Controller will be sold separately, but I’m hoping there’s an option for a dust cover for the Dock.
