Xbox Store Today: Metrico+, I Am Bread, Toby The Secret Mine, more

It’s Friday, and Microsoft has added another batch of games to the Xbox Games Store today…

Digital Dreams will finally bring Metrico+, their minimalist infographics-themed puzzle platformer, to the Xbox One today. It’ll be joined on the Xbox One by I Am Bread, Bossa’s engaging tale about a sentient piece of bread who longs to become toast.

Finally today, Toby: The Secret Mine is another minimalist platformer, and it asks players to help little Toby rescue his friends from the foreboding deep forest.

Xbox One Games

Metrico+ ($13.99)
Metrico+ is an input-driven game in a world of infographics. All the bar charts, line diagrams and pie charts react to what the player is doing. One bar diagram might grow for every step you walk to the left, while another could decline with every jump you make. You will have to explore Metrico+ and carefully analyze your every move to see how it affects the world, and whether it will get you further. This mechanic is called “Input Morphing” and it makes you think about actions you normally don’t think about. Metrico+ is a combination of exploration, skill, experimentation, but most of all: thinking outside of the box.

I Am Bread ($12.99)
Take on all hazards to deliciousness as you embark on your adventure throughout the home of Bob. the unsuspecting owner: from the kitchen, through the house, to the lounge, and then venture outside into the garden and beyond. Is Bob going mad, or has a slice of bread really come to life? You may even have met Bob before, he’s the passive patient from Surgeon Simulator and this explores the story of his downfall that leads him to the operating table. In addition to the deepest story ever seen in a videogame, about a slice of bread, there are a wealth of baked options to sink your teeth into. Additional game modes and other types of bread will cater for all tastes.

Toby: The Secret Mine ($9.99)
A peaceful way of life in a small village in the mountains was thrown into disorder. Someone has kidnapped most of its residents. A couple of brave hearts tried to rescue their friends but none of them has returned. Little Toby didn’t want to just sit and wait so he decided to find them by himself. He went to the near deep forest but he soon realized this is just a beginning. Go with Toby on an eerie adventure in a dark and creepy world full of dangerous situations, enemies, and challenging puzzles. Features various beautifully handcrafted environments and great visual effects with lots of different puzzles and many dangerous and challenging traps and enemies.

The Assembly ($19.99)
A first-person interactive story for mature audiences, The Assembly immerses you in the morally challenging world of a secret organisation. Play as two individuals from contrasting perspectives where you will face trials, investigate the Assembly’s secret bunker and make tough decisions. Will your actions and their repercussions save lives or lead to catastrophe? Uncover the morally ambiguous Assembly through a gripping and incisive story. Test your potential in newcomer Madeleine Stone’s induction trials and uncover a series of shocking revelations as veteran Cal Pearson. Thought-provoking dilemmas will lead you to question the Assembly’s relentless pursuit of progress.

Hunter’s Legacy ($6.99)
Hunter’s Legacy is a 2D Metroidvania platformer starring Ikki, a fierce cat who must save the kingdom of Iripur from the evil Morodir. The game features a non-lineal design where the focus is on exploration and combat in an open world filled with different characters, enemies, and collectibles.
