The Games of March 2017

Well, it’s no surprise that here at Warp Zoned, we’re all talking about the same thing: Nintendo’s Switch! Nicole didn’t manage to snag a pre-order because she is some kind of newbie, but everyone else got one. Read on to see what they’ll be playing as soon as they pick up their Switch consoles!

My Switch pre-order confirmation is currently burning a hole in my pocket, but thankfully I’ll be able to exchange a few rupees for Nintendo’s next console and a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in just a few hours. With its truly wide-open world and absolutely gorgeous art style, I can picture myself spending quite a bit of time in Hyrule throughout the month of March.

But whenever I do manage to tear myself away from Link’s quest, it’s going to be because I want to revisit the past with the retro-inspired Super Bomberman R and Shovel Knight: Spectre of Torment. The Nintendo-obsessed little kid who grew up playing the original Super Bomberman and platformers like Shovel Knight would probably have been blown away by both of them.

March has almost too much excitement to offer with the release of the Nintendo Switch, though I wasn’t one of the ones lucky enough to snag a pre-order! The only other game I’m interested in is Styx: Shards of Darkness – oh, and digging hard into my backlog once school is over!

Well, my Nintendo Switch has been pre-ordered for a while now, and I must rely on my trusty postman to deliver The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to my door. As soon as I found out Monolith Soft, who made the stunning Xenoblade Chronicles, were helping with this new iteration of Nintendo’s RPG series, I nearly wept with joy.

I also really want to pick up Mass Effect: Andromeda this month as well, but between that and Zelda, there are simply not enough hours in the day. However, I may grab FAST RMX to see how the Switch handles its fast racers, because F-Zero Switch has to be coming soon, right? RIGHT?!

Well, it was nice knowing everyone.

Come Friday, I will be locked in my basement of solitude, playing the Switch. I have my midnight launch plans all set up… I’m picking up the system and Super Bomberman R. But unfortunately, I’ll have to wait until Friday afternoon for the Special Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to arrive.

I also bought an eShop card… and I’m gonna have to buy more thanks to Nintendo’s Indie Direct yesterday… to pick up Snipperclips: Cut It Out Together, Pocket Rumble, and Shovel Knight: Spectre of Torment. So, in other words, I’ll be pretty busy.
