Nintendo Download: Wonder Boy The Dragon’s Trap, Rayman 3, Rayman Advance, more

Nintendo’s Switch continues to be a home for interesting retro-themed titles, as two more are now available to purchase through the Nintendo eShop.

Developed by Lizardcube, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a remake of 1989’s Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap, and the side-scrolling platformer has been updated with a hand-drawn visual style and a re-orchestrated soundtrack for its Switch debut. Also available to download this week is Fatal Fury, a re-release of one of SNK’s earliest fighting games.

Nintendo’s other platforms will receive a handful of new downloadable titles this week, including Urban Trial Freestyle 2 for the 3DS. Developed by Teyon, the stunt racer asks players to “pull off insane stunts on top of skyscrapers, speed down busy highways, and take intense rides through the suburbs.” There’s even a few new games available for the Wii U this week, including Virtual Console re-releases of Rayman Advance and Rayman 3.

You can learn more about all of these games (and a few other new releases) after the break.

Wii U Games

Rayman Advance – In Rayman’s world, nature and people live together in peace. But one day, the evil Mister Dark steals the Great Protoon that provides energy and balance in the world. Betilla tried to stop him, but she wasn’t strong enough. Now strange new creatures appear and capture every Electoon they can find! They definitely need a hero… Rayman to the rescue!

Rayman 3 – When Globox, Rayman’s best friend, inadvertently swallows a dreadful black Lum, it isn’t the end of the world — but it could be! To prevent a full-scale invasion of malicious, ill-mannered hordes there is only one solution: Rayman must get someone to treat his burdensome pal.

Zombeer – Go through Mianus City fighting with hungry students, luscious cheerleaders, teachers wanting to examine your brain more closely, exotic dancers… and even a guy in thong who can’t stop dancing. Your girlfriend Karen is a zombie and the Chancellor is ordering the hordes to stop you from saving her. The only solution is to drink Zombeer to prevent zombification and to try to get as close to him as possible.

MOP: Operation Cleanup – You have been engineered using simple parts with one single objective: To clean up a polluted environment. Explore five challenging worlds with 50 difficult missions full of pixel-perfect platforming fun. Ordinary trash items have mutated into ugly creatures due to contact with radioactive and malignant substances. The foul odor is polluting and contaminating what remains. To save the world you must sweep the area for trash and run, jump, swim and slide your way through each world, destroying enemies and obstacles blocking your path.

Booty Diver – Take a dive into the perilous depths of the ocean as you seek sunken treasure while battling creatures who guard their treasure while managing your precious air supply.

Orbit – In Orbit you must guard your base by erecting a barrier to keep enemy ships out, at the right moment, scoring points along the way.
