Xbox Store Today: Unit 4, Gwent Open Beta, A Walk in the Dark, more

Welcome to another Wednesday update for the Xbox Games Store. Five new Xbox One games are now available to download through the digital storefront, and a few highlights include…

Unit 4 is a retro-themed co-op platformer from Gamera Interactive where players jump, dash, and rope swing across the galaxy in search of an evil alien army.

On an entirely opposite spectrum is Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, which is now available in Open Beta thanks to CD Projekt Red. The collectible card game made famous by The Witcher gives players command of “highly customizable armies” and asks them to cleverly “sling powerful unit and spell cards” to emerge victorious.

Finally, A Walk In The Dark is a monochromatic platformer from Flying Turtle that is very reminiscent of Limbo. Players will control a cat named Bast and explore a “dark fantasy world” in this Xbox Play Anywhere title.

More information about all of today’s new release can be found after the break.

Unit 4
An evil alien army has stolen the sacred artifact of our heroes tribe while invading their home planet. Similar reports are coming from other planets and the solar system will decay without the power of these artifacts. Our heroes will begin an epic journey to uncover the truth behind this invasion. Experience the ultimate old-school platforming mayhem: perform impossible tricks, play with your friends and get ready to save the universe! Fast paced platforming action, cooperative gameplay up to four players, an elite squad of agents with amazing skills, space travels, exploration, unique missions, fancy characters, epic fights with huge bosses, trade, minigames and much more!

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game (Open Beta)
From the home of The Witcher, developer CD Projekt Red, comes a different type of collectible card game. Based on skill rather than luck, Gwent gives you command of highly customizable armies, and encourages use of strategy and deception to defeat opponents. Sling powerful unit and spell cards, and summon heroes with game-changing abilities — on Gwent’s battlefields, clever tricks used to deceive other players are always a viable tactic.

A Walk In The Dark (Xbox Play Anywhere)
In this action platformer you play as a cat, Bast, running through a dark fantasy world. You’ll be running, jumping, and sliding with smooth and precise controls designed to make you feel like a cat. But it won’t be easy. In the dark you never know what lies in the shadows.

Portal Knights
Take down the evil that has invaded the worlds of Portal Knights in this action-RPG sandbox game! Travel between randomly generated worlds and meet new characters. Level up your character and battle monsters unleashed by The Fracture. Explore each world and mine resources required to craft unique and powerful items. Rebuild the worlds in ever-changing landscapes. Restore peace to the world by defeating the Portal Guardians and becoming the ultimate Portal Knight!

Embers of Mirrim
A stylish character with twice the personality: Mirrim has the ability to split into two playable forms, called embers. The Light and Dark embers are independently controlled by the left and right control sticks and offer new ways to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles and traverse through the world.
