Nintendo Download: Hey! Pikmin demo, Miitopia demo, five new Switch games, more

Nintendo is planning to release several big games this Summer for the 3DS, but they’re giving handheld players a chance to try out these upcoming games titles with the launch of two special demos on the Nintendo eShop.

Hey! Pikmin will be released on July 28, and the demo asks players to “use the touch screen to throw Pikmin into action, solve environmental puzzles and survive hostile wildlife.” Miitopia will also be available on July 28, and its “Casting Call Demo” lets players add Mii characters to three different in-game video trailers for the RPG.

A quartet of new games for the Switch are also available to download today including Fatal Fury Special, a NeoGeo classic; I and Me, a puzzle platformer that stars two cats; De Mambo, a multiplayer arena game with one-button attacks; Death Squared, a puzzle game about “cooperation, communication, and robot explosions”; and Levels Plus, a puzzler with sliding tiles.

You can learn more about all of these games (and a few other new releases) after the break.

Switch Games

Fatal Fury Special – Fatal Fury Special is a fighting game released by SNK in 1993. Fatal Fury Special is a powered-up version of Fatal Fury 2 which brings a faster game speed, introduces combo attacks for the first time in the Series, and welcomes more returning characters for a total of 15 fighters.

I and Me – I and Me is a puzzle platformer. To play the game, you control two cats simultaneously. The two characters will perform exactly the same action. You need to manage both of them at the same time and let them coordinate to complete the adventure.

De Mambo – De Mambo lets one-to-four players engage in Mambo Combat. Grab a Joy-Con and charge your measly one button and release at different times to do three different attacks! Knock your opponents off the screen and break the level however you decide (thanks to some flimsy architecture), to make your game marginally different each time you play.

Death Squared – Death Squared is a puzzle game about cooperation, communication, and robot explosions. Prove your teamwork skills in Death Squared as you solve puzzles together or die trying! Each player needs to guide a robot to a color-coded goal, but the path is beset with deadly traps and hazards. Teams of players will need close observation and communication to keep each other alive and discover a solution together.

Levels Plus – The rule is simple. Slide and match panels with the same color and number to level up! The blue panel is your ally. It will get stronger as you level up. The red panel is your enemy and it will get in your way. Level up your blue panels to defeat your foe. The yellow panel is your treasure. Level it up to increase its wealth. It looks simple but you need to use your brain.

3DS Games

Asdivine Cross – Bear the fate of light and shadow to save Asdivine in a grand fantasy RPG! Harvey, an outlaw of little importance, gets himself trapped deep in his kingdom’s dungeons. While imprisoned he befriends a mysterious woman who claims to be the princess of the lands. Together the two begin an escape that spans far beyond jail bars. As both friends and enemies begin to surface, Harvey realizes that the world of Asdivine is anything but at peace. Between threats of war and angry Deities, Harvey and friends begin a series of quests that will determine the very fate of Asdivine…

Cursed Castilla – The tears of a young witch have been turned into a key by a demon to open a gateway to hell. In Cursed Castilla, one takes the role of Don Ramiro, a knight appointed by King Alphonse VI, to fight and banish the evil invading the lands of Tolomera.

Bit Dungeon Plus – Bit Dungeon Plus is an action roguelike endless adventure. You and your loved one were captured by demons! You have been trapped in a dungeon for a thousand years asleep… You wake up trapped in cell, grab your weapon and let the quest to find her soul begin! Just like the classic quarter crunchers of old, if you die you lose everything and start all over. Can you make it to the end and save the day?

Wii U Games
