Second Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer released… Ubisoft to add “Educational Mode” to Assassin’s Creed Origins

It’s hard to compete with a brand new trailer for the highly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2, but Ubisoft is going to try, and they’ve announced a combat-free “Educational Mode” for Assassin’s Creed Origins.

You can see the trailer and read more about Origins’s “Educational Mode” after the break.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Official Trailer #2 [YouTube]

Rockstar began teasing Red Dead Redemption 2 several years ago. But this Summer’s delay was a huge blow to all the gamers who want to play it RIGHT NOW. Thankfully, Rockstar released a new trailer for the game this morning:

The all-new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One in Spring 2018.

Assassin’s Creed Origins – Discovery Tour Shows a Different Side of Ancient Egypt [UbiBlog]

The Assassin’s Creed series always weaves a lot of real history into their games, and players who aren’t interested in the franchise’s parkour-inspired combat will be able to explore the story behind Assassin’s Creed Origins in a guided experience next year with the brand new “Discovery Tour” mode:

With Discovery Tour, Assassin’s Creed Origins is using the concept of the Animus Database – long one of the most fascinating parts of the series – as a springboard for an entirely new kind of experience. Where the Database was a collection of educational (and frequently snarky) notes on the important people, places, and events that you encounter in each game, Discovery Tour adds an entirely new game mode that turns the massive re-creation of Egypt into a combat-free living museum, with guided tours that let players delve into its history firsthand.

Ubisoft recently uploaded a new Q&A discussing the game’s story with Associate Narrative Director Matthew Zagurak, and it’s been embedded above. Assassin’s Creed Origins will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 27, and the Discovery Tour mode will be available as a free update in Early 2018.
