Sucker Punch unveils Ghost of Tsushima… New trailer for Detroit: Become Human revealed

Sony is taking over Paris Games Week with a barrage of new trailers and game announcements. Dozens of games are on display as part of the French game convention, including Sucker Punch’s next project and the highly-anticipated Detroit: Become Human.

You can find new trailers for both games after the break.

Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch’s New Project, Revealed at Paris Games Week [PlayStation Blog]

Sucker Punch Productions has been quiet for a very long time. But today, as part of Paris Games Week, they unveiled Ghost of Tsushima, a “sprawling, open-world samurai game set in feudal Japan.” Nate Fox, the Game Director at Sucker Punch Productions, revealed a bit more about the game on the PlayStation Blog:

In 1274, the Mongol army invaded Japan, their first stop: Tsushima Island. In Ghost of Tsushima, you play as a battered samurai, fighting back against overwhelming odds. In the trailer, you see the leader of the Mongols, a guy I would describe as an “uncomfortably reasonable killer” trying to intimidate our hero. It’s all there, right in that little scene. The power and confidence of the Mongol Empire coming face to face with pure, lethal, samurai determination.

Ghost of Tsushima is in the works for the PS4, but no release date was announced.

Detroit: Become Human – New Trailer Debuts at Paris Games Week [PlayStation Blog]

Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human has come long way since its introduction as a tech demo (Kara) in 2012, but the developer is returning to the viewpoint of the titular android for the game’s latest trailer:

The scene we are presenting is a very important moment in Kara’s story: we discover that she is owned by a human, Todd Williams, the single father of a little girl called Alice.

At this point, Kara is an obedient android in charge of taking care of the house and Alice – but the situation turns out in an unexpected way. Confronted with Todd’s violence toward his little girl, Kara feels compelled to disobey and risk her life to save Alice.

Detroit: Become Human will be released exclusively for the PS4 in 2018.
