The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Beholder: Complete Edition, more added to Xbox Store

Microsoft is closing out the week with yet another Xbox Games Store update. Today, Xbox One owners will get the chance to purchase and download five new Xbox One games including The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Beholder: Complete Edition.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a first-person mystery game where players will search for a missing boy and possibly stumble across a murder with ties to the occult.

Beholder: Complete Edition also plays into this sense of paranoia as players take control of a landlord who’s been tasked with spying on his tenants. Peep into their lives and eavesdrop on their conversations to keep the ominous-sounding totalitarian “State” happy.

You can learn more about all of today’s additions to the Xbox Games Store after the break.

Now Available on Xbox Games Store – 1/19/18 [Major Nelson]

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a first-person story-driven mystery game focused on exploration and discovery. You play the game as Paul Prospero, an occult-minded detective who receives a disturbing letter from Ethan Carter. Realizing the boy is in grave danger, Paul arrives at Ethan’s home of Red Creek Valley, where things turn out to be even worse than he imagined. Ethan has vanished in the wake of a brutal murder, which Paul quickly discerns might not be the only local murder worth looking into.

Beholder: Complete Edition
You’re a Government-installed landlord in a totalitarian State. Your job is to spy on tenants, peep into their lives, eavesdrop on their conversations and profile everyone to ensure laws are beyond obeyed and the State is kept happy. Anyone caught plotting against the State’s ever-changing laws MUST be reported. All your choices will have consequences, and the consequences will be yours to deal with. Beholder: Complete Edition also contains the Blissful Sleep DLC, a new scenario based on an ex-landlord, with all new tenants and stories to discover.

Vesta
Vesta is a witty six-year-old girl who lives in a desolate underground maze – the ruins of a once-bright city inhabited by humans and perfect machines. Although this world can be lonely, she is kept company by her friend BOT. It advises her and encourages her to do the tasks she is assigned, although it knows much more than it lets on. In order to survive in this passive yet hostile environment, BOT will give Vesta a real helper – DROID. He may be a bit rough around the edges, but he’ll handle physical tasks that would be impossible for a fully grown adult, let alone a little girl. Besides, he is the perfect weapon to defend against the dangers lurking in the remains of this abandoned complex.

The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human
As resources began to dwindle in the year 2971, sub-aquatic spaceships were sent to a nearby wormhole to look for habitable planets. Things did not go as planned. And now the ship Argo9 has returned, thousands of years later. Witness the beauty of the sea as well as humanity’s influence on nature, told through the art and backgrounds with some textual hints along the way.

Power Spikes II
Power Spikes II is a sports game released in 1994 by VIDEO SYSTEM. It features the Hyper Mode where the world’s strongest eight teams compete along with the World Men’s and World Women’s teams in this futuristic fighting volleyball. In Hyper Mode, commands for special serves and spikes can be input for an intense battle.
