id Software announces Quake Champions, an arena FPS exclusively for the PC
“Yes, Quake is back!” – Tim Willits, the Creative Director of id Software.
Announced just moments ago at Bethesda’s E3 Press Conference, Quake Champions is an arena shooter that’ll be available exclusively for the PC. Willits wasn’t ready to announce a release date just yet, but he promised that we’ll learn more about the game at this August’s QuakeCon. It’ll also shake up the “Hero Shooter” genre with a huge number of unique characters:
The fast, skill-based arena-style competition that turned the original Quake games into multiplayer legends is making a triumphant return with Quake Champions. Running at an impressive 120hz with unlocked framerates, id Software’s new multiplayer shooter is getting ready to take PC gaming by storm once more.
Quake Champions features a roster of unique characters, each with their own distinctive abilities, allowing you to fight the way you want.
You can check out the Cinematic Reveal Trailer embedded above.
