The Adventure Log: What Happened on May 24, 2017

The first trailer for Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 has arrived (Excelsior!). In other news, Grand Theft Auto V continued to make a lot of money for Take-Two Interactive, as the publisher began to lay the groundwork for two huge releases in 2018… Red Dead Redemption 2 and a mystery title from 2K Games.

The Adventure Log: What Happened on May 23, 2017

It’s all coming ’round again in most of yesterday’s big stories. Sony Pictures is once again restarting their efforts to produce a film adaptation of Uncharted… this time with Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Tom Holland as a young Nathan Drake. Capcom is re-releasing Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, yet another remaster from the PS3/Xbox 360 era. And after Red Dead Redemption 2‘s delay, 2K Games is pinning their hopes on this Fall’s WWE 2K18.

We’ve also got the latest on Overwatch‘s Anniversary event and Nintendo’s Global Testpunch for Arms.

The Adventure Log: What Happened on May 22, 2017

It’s “Aces and Eights” for Rockstar’s plan to release Red Dead Redemption 2 this Fall. The meticulous publisher confirmed today that the game has been pushed back, and will now be released in Early 2018.

However, several other publishers are rushing to fill in the gap as Ubisoft teased a few details about Far Cry 5, Boss Key confirmed LawBreakers will be released for the PS4 this Fall, Housemarque announced that Nex Machina will launch on June 20.

And in a new editorial, Kurt Indovina is happy to report that “It’s 2017 and Adventure Games Are Mainstream Again.”

The Adventure Log: What Happened on May 19 – May 21, 2017

We spent this weekend catching up on some of the big from throughout the week, including Nintendo’s most recent look at Arms, Blizzard’s “Anniversary” celebration for Overwatch, and Bungie’s massive unveiling of Destiny 2.

Oh, and the Nintendo Switch is still posting huge sales numbers, and Constanin Film wants to reboot the Resident Evil film franchise.

NIS America gave us a Disgaea 5 Complete demo, Ubisoft surprise-announced Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2, and Sega is planning to revive some of their dormant franchises.
