Happy Halloween, everyone! What did you get dressed up as this weekend? Something video game related, I’m assuming! My boyfriend and I decided to go as Heisenberg and Jesse Pinkman (as you can see in this awesome photo). We even had some of the blue, yeah!

But today’s scoop is about deals, my friends, not about who had the awesomest Halloween costume (obviously we win that one). Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games continues the Call of Duty pattern with Call of Duty: World at War for $15.99 on the Xbox 360. Amazon’s also got their new weekly deals, which are epic:

  • Buy Two Games, Get One Free – and not just the crappy ones, either. This list includes Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3, and the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, as well as boatloads of older games. Seriously, this one is worth wading through all the pages.
  • 50% off L.A. Noire for the Xbox 360, making it $19.99
  • Homefront on sale for just $19.99
  • Child Of Eden for $14.99 used through the Warehouse

But wait! There’s more. Target’s having their own awesome buy two, get one free sale, so if you’re tired of throwing all of your money at Amazon, you can take it to Target instead. Righteous!

Daily Scoop: October 11, 2011 – Post-plague edition

Whew! I’ve had a horrible flu the last few days that basically knocked me out of commission. I’m still dragging a bit – I’ve got that slightly stupid sick feeling – but I’m out of bed, and that’s what’s important! I’m back with a vengeance, ready to deliver you the hottest scoops on the Internet!

Let’s see, what’s going on? Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games is the recently released Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2 Innocent Sin by Atlus. This PSP remake – released in America for the first time – is just $29.99 today. Fans of the series who can’t afford it at $39.99 might think $10 off isn’t the best deal, but if it’s enough of a discount for you, you know what I say! Scoop it up :)

Daily Scoop: Tuesday, July 19 – BioShock day!

What I mean by BioShock day is that today heralds the release of the prequel novel, BioShock: Rapture! I’m hoping it’s a good one. It’ll be my first ever video game novel! I’ve wanted to start reading them for a while now, but I just never had the time. This one looks too good to pass up!

The Internet has some good deals for us today! Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games is Aksys’ Record of Agarest War for the Xbox 360, on sale today at half price for $24.99. Also of note is the big Target sale on video games, which has a slew of games marked down to $27 (like Disney’s Epic Mickey), some marked down to $37 (like Child of Eden), and some at the seemingly random price of $37.99 (OK, just Duke Nukem Forever and both versions of L.A. Noire). Whew! Savings, savings, savings.

Daily Scoop: June 30, 2011 – Last day of June!

Goodbye, June! We hardly knew ye. You gave us some good games, some good deals, and some good times. You were even pretty good with the weather. We’ll miss you now that July is here and August is looming.

As for today’s deals, Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games is Ubisoft’s Child Of Eden for the Xbox 360. This quirky game is just $34.99 today, and is “a visionary entertainment experience that synchronizes stunning graphics and innovative sound design to electrify the senses.” Also, it can help add to your Kinect library, if nothing else!

There are no good video game t-shirts today! What a bummer after yesterday’s veritable cornucopia of shirts. The best one today is shirt.w00t‘s Pie(rate) Chart shirt:

Release Dates: Child of Eden, Arcana Heart 3

Release dates for Child of Eden and Arcana Heart 3 have snuck out of this weekend’s PAX East.

According to Joystiq, an Ubisoft representative has alerted them to the news that Child of Eden will be available on June 14 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The musical motion game is being developed by Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s Q Entertainment and will include Kinect support.

Meanwhile, Scrawl has learned that Arcana Heart 3 will be available to download from the PlayStation Network on April 5. An Xbox 360 version of the all-female fighting game has also been given a rating by the ESRB, but only the PSN version has been officially announced.
