Dead Island 2 might be stuck in limbo, but Deep Silver is resurrecting their zombie franchise this week with the Dead Island Definitive Collection. Available to download now for the PlayStation Store, the Definitive Collection includes both Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, as well as the side-scrolling Dead Island: Retro Revenge. Dead Island and Riptide are also available to download separately, but Retro Revenge is exclusive to the Definitive Collection package.
Also available this week is Dangerous Golf, the first game from a group of ex-Criterion developers at Three Fields Entertainment. The PS4 game will hand players a putter and let them go nuts in a wide variety of different environments. Have you ever wanted to wreck a kitchen, castle, or palace with a 5-iron? Well, here’s your chance.
Finally this week, Ndemic Creations will bring Plague Inc.: Evolved to the PS4. First released for the Xbox One in September, and available for the PC since February, Plague Inc.: Evolved will finally give PS4 owners the chance to infect the world with a horrific disease.
More information on all of these games (and a few other new releases) can be found after the break. And don’t forget to check out the PlayStation Blog, which has a complete rundown of this week’s new add-ons and discounts. (more…)
Ndemic Creations unleashed a “viral” sensation on the world in 2012 with their mobile hit, Plague Inc. Today, the developer is bringing their disease simulator to the Xbox One through the Xbox Games Store. PS4 and Wii U owners are no doubt green with envy… of course, that could also be the result of the game’s signature pathogens infecting another host. It’s a wild premise for a strategy game, but if Plague Inc: Evolved is half as good as its mobile forebear, then killing billions of people with a horrible disease will be the most fun you have on your Xbox One in a long time.
Three other games are also available to download for the Xbox One today including Inside My Radio, a musical side-scroller; The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, a fantasy spoof that promises hours of point-and-click fun; and Pumped BMX +, a BMX stunt racer. And if you haven’t upgraded to an Xbox One just yet, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is also available for the Xbox 360.
More information on all of these games can be found after the break. (more…)
Plague Inc., the popular mobile game that simulates the spread of diseases, is graduating from the mobile realm and coming to the PC (via Steam) in the form of Plague Inc: Evolved. The evolution has tons of new features, including:
- Infectious Multiplayer – Cooperative and competitive gameplay modes let you team up to fight the cure with friends, or compete in a race to kill the world.
- Contagious Content Creator – Hit the lab and develop your own custom scenarios – creating new plague types and worlds. Bring your deadliest ideas to life and share them with Steam Workshop.
- Blinding Graphics – Including full 3D disease models taking you closer to your plague than ever before, city-cams showing humanity’s struggle at street level, and the body scanner highlighting the full effect of your mutations, organ by organ.
- Deadly Data – Predict government responses with priority indicators, geek out with loads of new stats and graphs, and analyse your best strategies with end-of-game replays.
Plague Inc: Evolved will be available on Steam Early Access on February 20.
