Leading the pack this week is NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us. The team behind Mortal Kombat has created a DC Comics brawler that pits Batman against Superman in a battle over the soul of the very world. Also available this week is Dragon Fantasy: Book I, an 8-bit-styled RPG that is the second game in Sony’s monthlong celebration of indie games, “Spring Fever 2013.” The game is available for $9.99 as a PSN/Vita Cross-Buy title.
What else can you look forward to this week? How about the side-scrolling beat ’em up Sacred Citadel, Capcom Arcade Cabinet‘s “1984 Pack,” and Team Ninja’s Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge? All three are available on the PS Store now.
A pair of dueling sequels highlight this week’s new releases.
Kratos returns in a God of War prequel that brings multiplayer to the series for the first time. God of War: Ascension is available as a standalone game and also as part of a new PS3 system bundle that include Ascension and the previously released God of War Saga. Also new on store shelves this week is StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, the first expansion in the StarCraft II trilogy saga.
And speaking of sequels, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is also available this week for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. And speaking of snipers, Sniper Elite V2 comes to the PC this week, almost a year after first appearing on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Finally, the 3DS will receive another Monster High game thanks to Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze.
It looks like Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 won’t be released this month after all. Originally scheduled for an August 2012 release, the game was pushed back to January 2013 and now it won’t make that date either.
According to the game’s publisher, City Interactive, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will now be available for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on March 12.
Unless it gets delayed again, of course.
