All Articles: Spec Ops: The Line
Sony has just put out another massive PlayStation Store update. This week, we’re treated to six “PS3 Full Games,” two PSN releases, and one PS2 Classic.
The six “PS3 Full Games” include Spec Ops: The Line, 2K’s desert shooter; Brave, Disney’s latest Pixar tie-in game; Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends, the newest game in the Test Drive series; Sonic Generations, last year’s cross-generational Sonic game; The Adventures Of Tintin, another tie-in game from Ubisoft; and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, the latest golf sim from the biggest name in the sport.
And don’t forget, if you’re looking for discounted games, Sony is holding their annual PSN Summer Sale this week.
More information on all of these games (and the other three games available this week) can be found after the break. And a full breakdown of this week’s new game add-ons can be found at the PlayStation Blog. (more…)
Spec Ops: The Line, which takes players on a military operation inside Dubai after a post-apocalyptic sandstorm, will be available in stores tomorrow. We recently had a chance to talk with Walt Williams, the game’s very verbose Lead Writer at Yager Development.
During our interview, we got him to open up about what inspired the team at Yager and how moral choices play into the narrative , as well as Dubai’s status as a “city that shouldn’t be” and how that made it the perfect place to set a game.
Take a walk into the eye of the storm with us after the break. (more…)
Spider-Man, Spider-Man. Does whatever a spider can. Spins a web, any size. Catches thieves, just like flies. You’ll see him next in The Amazing Spider-Man.
That’s right, the wallcrawler will make his glorious return to video games this week with the 3DS, DS, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 adaptation of the soon-to-be hit movie. Look out! Here comes the Spider-Man.

2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today that a co-op Borderlands 2 demo will be playable at their booth on the show floor. The demo will feature the “Caustic Caverns” map, and you can play as either the brand spankin’ new Gunzerker class or the new and improved Siren.
If that’s not enough Borderlands action for you, you can also check out Gearbox Software’s panel on Sunday, April 8th, where they will be talking about Borderlands 2 and all the other games they are currently working on.
Borderlands publisher 2K Games has plenty more planned for PAX 2012. Hit the jump for more details. (more…)
After several delays, 2K Games is ready to announced the release date of the Yager-developed Spec Ops: The Line. The PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 shooter will be available in stores on June 26.
In addition to the release date news, 2K Games has revealed that players who pre-order Spec Ops: The Line will be upgraded to the Premium Edition. The Premium Edition will include the FUBAR Pack, which stands for FUn Beyond All Recognization…

The Premium Edition and FUBAR Pack feature a variety of multiplayer bonuses including:

After 14 years in development, Duke Nukem Forever will finally be released next month after countless delays. But three other games in Take-Two’s development slate weren’t so lucky as they’ve been hit by Duke’s delay stick.
Spec Ops: The Line, which debuted in an amazing trailer at last year’s Spike TV Video Game Awards, will now be released sometime in the Spring/Summer of 2012. It had previously been scheduled for release this Fall.
A pair of Rockstar titles were also delayed as Max Payne 3 and Agent have been pushed back to release date unknown.
But don’t worry, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has assured us, “Max Payne 3 and Agent are still in development.” Let’s just hope we don’t have to wait another 14 years.
