All Articles: The Walking Dead: Michonne

The Walking Dead: Michonne’s final episode will be available on April 26

Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Michonne miniseries will come to an end next week with the launch of its final episode, “What We Deserve.” The developer has also released a new trailer recapping the second episode, “Give No Shelter.” Needless to say, it is filled to the brim with spoilers. But if you’re ready to continue Michonne’s story, the third episode will offer plenty of thrills and more tough choices:

In “What We Deserve,” feeling the weight of choices both recent and long ago, Michonne tries to protect an innocent family… but Norma and the vengeful Monroe crew are closing in. As reality shatters and the ghosts of the daughters she abandoned demand to be heard, your choices will determine who lives, who dies, and what redemption really means in a world gone to hell.

The Walking Dead: Michonne Episode 3 – “What We Deserve” will be available to download for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and mobile devices (iOS and Android) on April 26.

The Walking Dead: Michonne Episode 2 will be released on March 29

Telltale has announced that the second episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne will be released on March 29. Titled “Give No Shelter,” Michonne is on the run from the leaders of Monroe while memories of her daughter cloud her thoughts:

In Episode 2, “Give No Shelter,” a daring escape from the floating colony of Monroe sees Michonne, Pete, and Sam running for their lives. An all too brief reprieve is soon shattered; the leaders of Monroe don’t forgive and don’t forget. With memories of her daughters bleeding ever further into Michonne’s blurred reality, her world is becoming increasingly fractured… just at the point when she’ll need all of her skills to survive.

In development for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and mobile devices, The Walking Dead: Michonne is a three-episode miniseries set within the universe of The Walking Dead comic. A new trailer highlighting some of the choices available in the first episode, “In Too Deep,” has been embedded above.

The miniseries will conclude in April with the final episode, “What We Deserve.”

Xbox Store Today: Far Cry Primal, PvZ Garden Warfare 2, The Walking Dead Michonne, more

farcryprimal-header

Today’s Xbox Games Store update is all about scary things… cannibals, zombies, dying alone in the wilderness, and that thing on Gorbachev’s head.

The hero of Far Cry: Primal (Xbox One), Takkar, will have to spend his days dodging cannibals as he fights for survival in the game’s prehistoric locales. Thankfully, Takkar will be able to rely on his own tribe to help him out, and the wild animals that he tames including elephants, tigers, and wolves. In the Stone Age, it’s easy to show those cannibals who’s really on top of the food chain.

Zombies don’t usually munch on brains, but Telltale’s smart adaptation of The Walking Dead saga gets a new chapter today with the release of The Walking Dead: Michonne (Xbox One and Xbox 360). Players will take control of the character’s famed sword in a story that explores Michonne’s absence between issues #126 and #139 of the comic book… “and what brought her back.” A different sort of undead are at the center of EA’s Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 (Xbox One), but the team-based shooter includes a ton of new maps and modes for fans of the series.

Also available today is The Flame in the Flood (Xbox One), is “a wilderness survival game in which a girl and her dog travel by foot and by raft down a procedurally-generated river.”

Finally today, Reagan Gorbachev (Xbox One) will fight back against a group of extremists in a top-down shooter using “their fists and samurai swords and poison darts and pistols and shotguns and fully automatic assault rifles and grenade launchers and miniguns and bazookas and some other guns.” Sure… why not?

More information on all of these (along with a few other new releases) can be found after the break. (more…)

It’s a big week for the PlayStation Store as more than a dozen new games have been added to the digital storefront.

Riding an elephant over the rest of this week’s new releases is Far Cry: Primal (PS4), Ubisoft’s prehistoric take on the first person shooter. Players will wield stone knives, spears, and bows, as they hunt wild animals and fend off attacks from other tribes. Oh, and in case you missed it the first time, they get to ride a rampaging elephant. Two other very different shooting games will also be released this week… We’ll get a chance to play EA’s colorful team-based competition, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 (PS4), along with the strategic shooting of Square Enix’s Hitman Go: Definitive Edition (PS4 + PS Vita Cross-Buy).

Finally this week, Telltale is back with another adaptation of the Walking Dead universe for the PS4 and PS3. The first episode for The Walking Dead: Michonne is now available to download with future episodes planned for release in March and April.
