All Articles: WWE All-Stars
While the impending release of the 3DS still dominates the coming soon lists, there will be plenty of new games available when the calendar skips to the week ahead.
Fresh off Tiger Woods’ victory on Morning Drive, his namesake game, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters, will be available in stores this week for the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. It’ll be joined by Square Enix’s long-awaited PSP sequel to Parasite Eve, The 3rd Birthday.
More sports action dominates this week’s new releases including the arcade wrestling title WWE All-Stars (PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360 and PS2!) as well as a pair of racing games: Shift 2: Unleashed (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) and NASCAR 2011 (PS3, Wii, Xbox 360).
Finally, everyone’s favorite hack and slash series returns for another round of ancient Chinese warfare. I refer, of course, to Koei’s Dynasty Warriors 7 (PS3, Xbox 360).
The full list of the rest of this week’s new releases can be found after the break. (more…)
The Honky Tonk Man, the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in the WWE’s history, will be added to the WWE All-Stars roster as a free DLC download in April.
And that’s not all. THQ has added a range of WWE All-Stars-inspired Avatar items to the Xbox Live Marketplace including Hulk Hogan’s “Hulkamania” outfit, Jake The Snake’s snake, The Ultimate Warrior’s facepaint and a whole lot more.
THQ has released a dozen new screenshots showcasing the many modes of WWE All-Stars. The arcade brawler will include classic modes like 1 on 1 and Steel Cage Match along with Triple Threat, Fatal 4 Way, Tornado Tag, Elimination, Extreme Rules and Handicap Matches. You can check out all twelve screens after the break.
WWE All-Stars will be available for the PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 on March 29. (more…)
IGN has completed their two part unveiling of the complete WWE All-Stars roster with an additional seven Legends, eight Superstars and six more DLC wrestlers. These 15 wrestlers join the 15 wrestlers announced last week to give the full roster a grand total of 30 fighters.
As with last week’s reveal, IGN uploaded new screenshots and video of each wrestler, giving us a very in-depth look at the game.
So we know who made the final cut and we know that The Big Bossman, Chris Jericho, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Michael Hayes, Mark Henry and R-Truth will be added to WWE All-Stars at a future date through a DLC expansion pack. We also know that Howard Finkel and Paul Bearer will be included in the game as “non-wrestling talent.”
So with all out of the way, jump off the top rope for a look at the second half of the WWE All-Stars roster. (more…)
Well, half of it anyway.
IGN has managed to wrestle the full roster to the upcoming WWE All-Stars away from THQ and they plan on publishing it in two parts. Part one appeared today, revealing eight legends, seven present-day superstars and five fighters that’ll only be available as downloadable content. IGN also revealed that Larry “The King” Lawler and Jim Ross will be providing the color commentary.
Screenshots and video of each wrestler were also included, giving us our most in-depth look at WWE All-Stars yet.
So, let me ring the bell and reveal (after the break) the first 15 wrestlers in WWE All-Stars… (more…)
THQ has released the official boxart for WWE All-Stars and it features eight of the biggest wrestlers of yesterday and today.
Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior will be joined by “Macho Man” Randy Savage and The Rock on the legends side of the box while John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston represent the modern-day superstars.
The best part of this news is that THQ hadn’t announced Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior as part of the game’s roster, so this is a welcome surprise.
WWE All-Stars (and Hulkamania) will run wild on the PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, PS2 and PSP this March.
THQ is taking the WWE to the arcade this March (March 29 to be exact) with WWE All-Stars, a wildly over-the-top wrestling game that brings together two generations of the WWE’s finest.
Check out the game’s debut trailer above and hit the jump for a special message from “Macho Man” Randy Savage on why he’s the greatest superstar in the PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, PS2 and PSP game. At 58, the former Slim Jim spokesman is still more awesome than any wrestler working today. (more…)
