Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! Review: I Don’t Know Why I Bothered

I had a lot of fun with 2012’s Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage!? on the 3DS. It was a cute little game that was a lot like Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, except with Adventure Time characters instead. WayForward returned with another game based in the Land of Ooo, Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW!, last year. The game, the first for the PC, PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360, is an overhead dungeon-crawler that lets you play as several different characters instead of just Finn and Jake. I was super excited to play as Lumpy Space Princess because, well, she’s LSP, and she’s the best. But even being able to play as my favorite character didn’t make the game any better. (more…)

Daily Scoop: May 9, 2014 – Weekend at last!
Well hello there, weekend! There’s so much going on the next few days that I doubt I’ll be able to play any video games. But I’ve been smuggling my 3DS everywhere lately to try to wrap up Phoenix Wright: And Justice for All, so maybe I’ll finish that while heading to Mother’s Day brunch!

Rumor: Attack on Titan 3DS game may be released in US
The Attack on Titan 3DS game may be coming to US shores, according to Siliconera. Developer Spike Chunsoft told the site that they have been “searching for a publishing partner” to bring their game to North America. This is exciting news, as the show has become wildly popular here in the States.
Attack on Titan sold 93,000 copies in its first week available back in December 2013, and Spike Chunsoft has been faced with a demand that is “constantly outweighing supply.” Siliconera also mentioned that “by February 2014, the game had sold over 240,000 copies at retail — and we imagine even more when counting download copies, due to the short supply in retail stores.”
Hopefully this ends up being more than just a rumor, because I would love to swing around and take down Titans. Love it.

Daily Scoop: May 7, 2014 – Great digital deals
I’m just going to start out by saying that yes, Anthony Amato and I did end up playing some Sportsfriends last night. And yes, we are planning on having a party soon, so that we can play those games the way they’re meant to be played: loudly and with friends. Just the two of us playing Super Pole Riders was enough for me to laugh so hard I cried, so I can’t wait to add in more people!
There are some amazing digital deals today. At Steam, Outlast is the Midweek Madness deal for $6.79, and the Daily Deal is NBA 2K14 for $7.49. At the Humble Store, there are more deals than I know what to do with. Scoop ’em up!
