More GTA5 rumors: There’s an Ace of Spades in the logo
Who knew a simple logo could generate so many rumors?
The latest Grand Theft Auto V rumor has apparently been staring us right in the face, Dan Brown-style, for two days now. It seems that if you turn the “V” in the logo upside down, it produces a nearly perfect spade. And of course, an upside down “V” with a sash across the center looks an awful lot like an “A.” Oh my god! Ace of Spades!
Combine that with the money motif the “V” uses and the obvious conclusion is that GTA5 will take place in Las Vegas, or rather, it’s Rockstar-approved stand-in, Las Venturas. It’s all speculation at this point, but deal me in baby!
Rockstar will release the first Grand Theft Auto V trailer on November 2.

Daily Scoop: October 26, 2011 – Improper Dancing!
Whew! I missed the scoop yesterday – all that was really up was Call of Duty: Black Ops on sale for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Activision seems to be having crazy CoD sales – I’m assuming in preparation for Modern Warfare 3. Whatever. Tonight is Electric Six at Johnny Brenda’s, which means I’m going to be doing a lot of improper dancing in the middle of the street with my friends! Somebody better notify the chief of police…

Dragon Age: Redemption episode 3 is here
Felicia Day’s Dragon Age: Redemption webseries continues with episode 3, “Josmael.” Josmael is a mage who is helping Day’s character, Tallis, search for the rogue Qunari Saarebas. I’m sure that alphabet soup of fantasy names means something to fans of Dragon Age II. But even after watching it, I’m still in the dark.
And in case you missed it, the second episode, “Cairn,” is available after the break. (more…)

The Birds of Anger bring the house down in G4 Epictober finale
“The Birds of Anger,” directed by Dance of the Dead creator Gregg Bisop is the final film in the G4 Films Epictober Film Festival. The seven-minute short is both a condensed version of one of Alfred Hitchcock’s greatest films and a pretty funny parody of Angry Birds.
Be on the lookout for Thor‘s Jaimie Alexander in the Suzanne Pleshette role, who plays Annie as even more evil than in the original (if that’s possible).

XBLA Today: Daytona USA, War of the Worlds, Zombie Apocalypse 2

Microsoft is adding three games to the Xbox Live Arcade today, two of which were added to the PlayStation Store yesterday.
Sega’s Daytona USA returns to put the polygons back into your racing games. Another new release is a game adaptation of H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds. Finally, Konami’s twin-stick shooter Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone, a sequel to 2009’s Zombie Apocalypse will infect the XBLA.
All three games have been priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10). More information can be found at Major Nelson’s blog (Daytona USA, War of the Worlds, Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone).

InFamous: Festival of Blood, PixelJunk SideScroller added to PS Store

Sony has updated the PlayStation Store with the final “Only On PSN” selections: InFamous: Festival of Blood and PixelJunk SideScroller.
In InFamous: Festival of Blood, a vampiric virus has swept through New Marais, infecting everyone, including Cole McGrath. Festival of Blood is a standalone expansion, meaning it doesn’t require InFamous or InFamous 2. The game also includes the new User Generated Content tools and vamps out with a nice $9.99 price tag (PS Plus subscribers get it for an even nicer $7.99).
PixelJunk SideScroller is Q-Games’ take on the side-scrolling shooter. And as you’d expect from the development team, they turn the genre on its head with “luminescent visuals, incredible bosses, and unforgettable powerups and weaponry.” PixelJunk SideScroller has also been priced at $9.99 with a 20% discount for PS Plus users.
A ridiculous number of additional new releases have been brought to the PS Store this week including Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone, Daytona USA, Worms: Crazy Golf, and downloadable versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Homefront, and MX vs ATV Alive.
More information on all of this week’s new releases and game add-ons can be found at the PlayStation.Blog.

Metallic Rose, Midnight Blue DSi XL bundles coming November 6

While the 3DS will be the hot handheld this holiday season (for those of us not holding off until the Slide Pad is integrated into a 3DS2), Nintendo is still pushing the DSi XL. In fact, they’ve announced two new colors for the jumbo-sized portable: Metallic Rose and Midnight Blue.
As you can see from the box art above, both bundles will include a copy of Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!, as well as a trio of pre-installed titles: Brain Age Express Math, Brain Age Express Arts & Letters, and Photo Clock.
The bundles will be available on November 6 at a price of $169.99 apiece.
