Free Luigi’s Balloon World expansion is now available for Super Mario Odyssey
Are you ready to play hide-and-seek across the world of Super Mario Odyssey? I hope so, because according to Nintendo’s official website, the Luigi’s Balloon World expansion is now available to download through the Nintendo eShop:
Luigi’s Balloon World
After downloading the update and beating the main story, Luigi will now show up in different kingdoms to give Mario a new challenge. To start Balloon World, seek out the green-clad bro and have a nice chat with him. There are two modes in Balloon World: “Hide It” mode lets you hide a balloon somewhere in that kingdom, while “Find It” mode challenges you to find balloons hidden by other players from around the world. If you get good at hiding and finding balloons, you’ll also move up the online rankings!
Luigi’s Balloon World is a free update for Super Mario Odyssey, and it also includes new Outfits for Mario and new Filters for Snapshot Mode.

The Behemoth will launch Pit People’s “Full Version” on March 2
The Behemoth has announced that the “Full Version” of Pit People will be released for the PC and Xbox One on March 2. The turn-based strategy game originally launched in Early Access/Game Preview in January 2017, and the developer has been steadily adding new content to the game every few months.
This final update will be known as “Update 6,” and it’ll complete the story of Horatio and the Bear:
In the full release, the story is completed with cinematics and all, along with a whole new world map with 15 additional bonus missions. There will also be other changes, such as balancing improvements and polish, included in the update as well. An official changelist will be released with the launch of the full release.

Hand of the Gods: Smite Tactics, Space Hulk: Ascension, Metal Gear Survive, more added to Xbox Store
The supernatural and the fantastical come together in today’s Xbox Games Store update.
First up is Hand of the Gods: Smite Tactics, a free-to-play collectible card game from Hi-Rez Studios. Now available for the Xbox One, Hand of the Gods is based on the developer’s MOBA, Smite, and features hundreds of cards and a fully 3D battlefield. Also available to download for the Xbox One today is Space Hulk: Ascension, a turn-based strategy game that “builds upon the classic board game experience.”
Finally today, Xbox One owners will be able to battle interdimensional zombies in Metal Gear Survive, a spinoff of the popular stealth-based series.

Sega will bring Shining Resonance: Refrain to US this Summer
The Shining series got its start all the way back in 1991, which is when Sega released Shining in the Darkness for its Genesis console. The publisher has since added more than a dozen new games to the franchise, but American audiences haven’t had a chance to play a new Shining game since 2007’s Shining Force EXA.
But that’ll all change this Summer, as Sega has announced that Shining Resonance: Refrain will be released in the US for the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One this Summer.
Shining Resonance: Refrain is a real-time action game with music-based attacks that Sega punningly refers to as the B.A.N.D. System. Players will also need to help their team socialize during events and dates to attain “Resonance” on the battlefield for even more powerful attacks.
Yuma has the soul of the Shining Dragon within him, transforming into the ancient beast by unleashing the power conducted through his sword. Dragons, long thought to be extinct, make Yuma a target for the Empire. To use him against the kingdom of Astoria, The Empire captures Yuma. Sonia, princess of Astoria, launches a rescue mission with the help of the Dragoneers. Hearing about the plight of Astoria and their fight to save their land, Yuma decides to aid them. Typically timid, will he find the courage to realize the strength he has within him?
Shining Resonance was originally released for the PS3 in Japan in 2014, and Refrain will add a number of remastered options to the game, including English and Japanese voices, all previously-released DLC, and a Refrain Mode that adds new characters to the game.
Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie will open in theaters in November 2019
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount has scheduled the theatrical premiere for Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie on November 15, 2019.
Tim Miller, most famous for directing Deadpool, is the Executive Producer on Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, which is said to include “a mix of live action and CGI to bring the character to life.”
Believe it or not, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie will have an Oscar-nominated director behind the camera. Jeff Fowler was nominated for an Oscar for “Best Animated Short” in 2005 (for Gopher Broke), and he’ll be sitting in the director’s chair. He’ll be joined on set by screenwriters Pat Casey and Josh Miller, who previously worked on a pair of Team Hot Wheels movies.
Sonic the Hedgehog has starred in several dozen games since his debut in 1991, so we have no idea what the movie will look like when it comes to theaters next year. But it should be interesting.

Metal Gear Survive, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, more coming to PS Store this week
It’s time for another PlayStation Store update, and it looks like PS4 owners will be able to play a batch of new action-packed games this week
First up is Metal Gear Survive, a spinoff of the Metal Gear franchise that asks players to defend their base from an invading horde of interdimensional zombies. Also available to download this week will be Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, the latest game in Bandai Namco’s Action RPG franchise.

Burnout Paradise Remastered will race onto PS4, Xbox One in March; PC launch will hit the gas “later this year”
Electronic Arts want fans of the Burnout franchise to pack their bags, because they’ve got two tickets to paradise, and you can leave in just three weeks…
The publisher has announced that Burnout Paradise Remastered will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on March 16. The re-release will include all eight DLC packs (Big Surf Island, Cops & Robbers, Legendary Cars, Bikes, Toys, Party, Boost, and the Cagney Update), as well as support for 4K visuals at 60 frames per second on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
In 2008, the original Burnout Paradise came roaring off the starting line ready to demolish the competition. Featuring breakneck racing, high-flying stunts, and — most importantly — shameless amounts of automotive destruction, Burnout Paradise set the bar for what an action racing game could be. And now, ten years later, it’s back and ready to show a new generation of consoles the true definition of a “smash hit.”
Burnout Paradise Remastered will also be released for the PC sometime later this year. But for now, everyone can watch the game’s first trailer, which has been embedded above.
