Welcome back Frank! Dead Rising 2: Off the Record announced
Frank West is back! The photojournalist who’s covered wars will return to experience his second zombie outbreak in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. Available for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this Fall, the game will reveal what Frank was up to during Dead Rising 2 in a brand new Fortune City attraction.
More than a mere spinoff, Capcom has promised that Off the Record will include “more twisted enemies” and “more outrageous combo weapons” as well as “enhancements to the save system and the co-op experience.” We also get to see Frank West deliver a suplex to a zombie while wearing wrestling tights. Oh yeah, welcome back Frank!
Frank’s return will also bring back the picture taking from the original Dead Rising and the Prestige Points (PP) exerpience system. And Frank’s camera will have plenty of new subjects as Capcom has said that Off the Record will include new enemies and new Psychos.

Capcom announces Dragon’s Dogma for PS3 and 360
At Capcom’s Captivate event last week, a new IP for high definition consoles was announced: Dragon’s Dogma. Players explore this open-world fantasy setting and take down various beasts. While Capcom conceded a similarity to Monster Hunter, the team differentiated the title by saying this will have an overarching story. The player is accompanied by three party members, ‘Pawns’ who you can issue orders to, but an undefined multiplayer mode has been confirmed to be in the cards.
Dragon’s Dogma is scheduled to come out early next year and you can get extended impressions over at the PlayStation Blog or from Capcom themselves right here:
From the creators behind some of Capcom’s best action games, including the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 4, comes their next opus, Dragon’s Dogma. Set in a huge open world, Dragon’s Dogma is a unique action experience that blends exciting and fulfilling combat with the freedom to explore and interact in a rich, living and breathing world. With your party of three you set out on an epic adventure to track down and destroy a mysterious dragon. Along the way you’ll encounter some of the biggest and baddest beasts ever to roam the land, and only skilful play and tactical teamwork can save the day.

Hyperdimension Neptunia sequel confirmed
A couple weeks ago, Compile Heart opened a teaser site, with a countdown set to finish up in about 38 hours as of this writing. Many guessed it would be the sequel to Hyperdimension Neptunia, and they were correct!
Titled Neptune mk-II, the game will feature upgraded graphics and a four party battle system. Confirmed characters include Uni, Rom & Ram, and Nepgear, which suggest the game will parody handheld consoles this time, if it is indeed an allusion to Sega’s Game Gear.
The series will stay PlayStation 3 exclusive and players will be able to choose from standard and limited editions. Andriasang is citing different sources pointing towards an August or September release date.

Warner Bros. registers new Batman domain names, may be games
In the latest barrage of companies who make video games registering domain names, Warner Bros. has purchased a few sites related to the Batman franchise:
BatmanHush.com
BatmanHushGame.com
BatmanImposters.com
BatmanImpostors.com
BatmanKnightFell.com
BatmanRedHoods.com
None of them actually take you anywhere, but a Who Is inquiry has revealed them all to be owned by Warner Bros. Only one of those, BatmanHushGame.com, has “game” actually in the title, but Scrawl recalls that Gotham City Imposters was a Batman title set to release on high definition consoles and PC.
Until we get more confirmation these potential interactive adventures of the Caped Crusader, you can look forward to Batman: Arkham City, due out October 18 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Nintendo announces Wii Play: Motion
Nintendo has sold more copies of Wii Play than of any other game in its thirty year involvement in the video game industry. So are you really surprised that the company has announced a sequel, now with Wii MotionPlus support?
Wii Play: Motion will be released on June 13 and come packed with a black Wii Remote Plus. Twelve new games will round out this minigame collection all for the attractive price of $49.99:
Wii owners will be twisting, turning and enjoying themselves like never before, whether they’re newcomers to the console or have already discovered the fun of the popular Wii Play game. From catching a gust of wind by tilting an umbrella to fending off garden pests by swinging a mallet, each of the 12 included games will have players smiling wide as they use their Wii Remote Plus controller (or Wii Remote with Wii MotionPlus accessory) in a variety of interesting, sometimes unexpected ways. Wii Play: Motion comes packaged with a Wii Remote Plus controller – which combines the original Wii Remote controller with the precision of Wii MotionPlus – to deliver great value, precise motion control and immersive social fun that anyone in the household can pick up and instantly enjoy.

Daily Scoop: April 12, 2011 – Spring is blooming with sales
OK, so that was a super cheesy headline, but for real, there are tons of sales going on right now. Even the Warp Zoned staff is all over it! Editor-in-Chief John Scalzo told me about the free Copy of Body and Brain Connection with a purchase of Kinect at Gamestop this week (April 10th to 16th), and Podcast Producer Ryan Littlefield was embarrassed to admit he was in Gamestop and saw this amazing sale firsthand. Don’t worry, Ryan. We don’t judge you.
Today’s Amazon Deal of the Day in video games is PDP’s Afterglow AP.1 Controller for the PS3. It’s $16.99 down from $24.99, and the sale is for the blue one. It also apparently has “L2 and R2 triggers modeled upon PDP’s popular REAL TRIGGERS add-ons for PS3 controllers.” Hear that, people? REAL TRIGGERS. Yeah.
Amazon’s also running another sale, this one on the 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect – for a limited time, you can get a $50 promotional credit for purchasing one. Sounds pretty good, considering you can upgrade to a larger hard drive for cheap these days – put that promotional credit towards that, and you’ll be set!
