Daily Scoop: June 28, 2012 – Dangerously high levels of Zelda
Not really much going on today, folks! Amazon is still having that Warner Bros. Summer Vacation sale, in which select WB games are up to 25% off. Also, there’s a Dragon Age digital sale, with games in the series going for ridiculously low prices. Get on board and scoop ’em up!
There aren’t really any other deals today. I have been trolling the Internet the last few days and there have been no good deals. I’m getting antsy for some deals, actually – I wish I could find a sanely priced copy of Pokemon: Platinum, for example. But alas, what I really want is Hermione Granger’s time-turner, to turn back time and give me what I need to cram everything in my schedule.
Or, you know, I could just post these around my office, like Geekadelphia‘s Eric Smith did to his:
In other news, there are three game-related shirts today, and two of them are Zelda-related: (more…)

Daily Scoop: June 27, 2012 – No deals
Today is one of those days that I want to curl up in bed with a controller and play Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One while eating ice cream and having my cats circle me like vicious sharks, waiting to pounce and eat my precious dessert breakfast. Wow. Was that really specific? Like it’s something I think about on the regular? Well, maybe that’s because I do.
Anyway, what’s up with deals today? That’s a really good question. The answer to that question is that there are really no good deals out there. I have looked into the Internet, and I have found it wanting. Unless your ideal dream is to save $30 when you buy a Linksys router and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, that is. Because that is a thing.
The good news is that there are two game-related t-shirts today. Woohoo! (more…)

Daily Scoop: June 26, 2012 – Gold Box Event!
Woo! Today is a Gold Box video game event over at Amazon! That means there might be some good deals… well, might be, but let’s just say I’ll believe it when I see it.
First of all, the Deal of the Day is Max Payne 3 on sale for $39.99 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The rest of the deals are as follows:
- 6:00 AM PST/9:00 AM EST: Spider-Man: Edge of Time for $9.99
- 8:00 AM PST/11:00 AM EST: “If you’re serious about gaming, then get serious about the sound. Step up and experience game audio like never before.” This is the Turtle Beach Ear Force X32 Digital Headset for $64.99!
- 10:00 AM PST/1:00 PM EST: “The “Enhanced” version of this RPG hit game for Xbox 360″
- 1:00 PM PST/4:00 PM EST: “Remember: this item is essential for your PS Vita.”
- 3:00 PM PST/6:00 PM EST: “Become a part of the Game of Thrones saga on Xbox 360 and PS3 with this limited edition bundle of the game!”
- 6:00 PM PST: 9:00 PM EST: “This PS3 Headset is Officially Licensed by Sony”
- 8:00 PM PST: 11:00 PM EST: “Optimize your viewing experience while protecting your PS Vita.”
Just one t-shirt today, but it’s a good one: (more…)

Daily Scoop: June 25, 2012 – Just another manic Monday
I keep defeating Mondays, but they just keep appearing. Is there a machine spawning them? Can I kill it? Please? I want to kill it dead. Maybe I could find the machine that spawns Saturdays and hack it…
Amazon’s got a bunch of all-new weekly deals, at least! Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge for the Xbox 360 is on sale for $29.48, and Men In Black: Alien Crisis is $39.99 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and $39.96 for the Wii. Also on sale is iCarly: Groovy Foodie! for the Nintendo DS (you know you want it) and the Dragon Age Pack download is just $9.99. Yowza. Scoop ’em up!

Daily Scoop: June 22, 2012 – Feeling hot, hot, hot
Wow, it’s really been scorching here! It’s supposed to get cooler today, but only because we’re also supposed to get a metric buttload of rain. You heard me right: a metric buttload. That’s a lot.
Really, no deals at all today. I did troll around Amazon’s under $10 deals, and discovered a few gems, like Resident Evil 4 for Wii, Assassins Creed I and II for PC, Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox, Need for Speed Most Wanted for PSP, and lots of stuff for Skylanders Spyro’s Adventures. Check ’em out!

Daily Scoop: June 20, 2012 – Summer solstice
Well, summer has definitely arrived! It’s set to be a blazing hot Wednesday here in Philadelphia. But hey, at least it’s Wednesday! The week is nearly halfway over.
Not very many deals today, other than the Warner Bros. Summer Vacation sale going on at Amazon. Get up to 25% off of Lego Battles Ninjago, the Scribblenauts games, and Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, among others.
Three shirts today, one of which is an unsurprising purchase for me: (more…)

Daily Scoop – June 19, 2012 – Cranky edition
It’s a beautiful Tuesday, which should mean I’m in a mood to match, but I’m super cranky for some reason. My stomach’s been acting up again, so no coffee for me, and no coffee means tired Nicole, and tired Nicole usually means cranky Nicole. Sigh. I just want to play my DS all day…
What’s up in the deal world today? Not too much, sadly. Amazon is offering $10 off Xbox Live 3 Month Gold Memberships, bringing them down to $14.99 from $24.99. Also, if you buy a Kinect sensor with Kinect Adventures, you’ll receive Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor for free. Not bad, not bad.
Not much else going on, really – other than all the neat stuff you can get for pre-ordering games right now. If you pre-order Amazing Spider-Man, you get the Stan Lee Adventure Pack, which lets you look for missing pages from Lee’s latest script. Oh, and he voices it, too. Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy comes with a gripped stylus and stickers to put on it. Talk about adorable!

Daily Scoop: June 18, 2012 – Another Monday
Here we are, yet another Monday. Do they ever stop coming? I would love to declare a ceasefire in my war against it, but it’s just so despicable most weeks. Can’t we ever just start the week on a Wednesday? It would be so much more pleasant!
Anyway, onto the deals! Amazon’s got a few up its sleeve today:
- Just Dance and Just Dance 2 for $13.99 on the Wii
- Final Fantasy XIII-2 for $19.99 on PlayStation 3 and $24.99 on Xbox 360
- HORI PlayStation 3 Final Fantasy XIII-2 Face Plate for $13.99
- Nyko Charge Base 360 S for Xbox 360 for $17.99
- Black Nyko Charge Station for Wii for $14.99
- Nyko Core Controller for PS3 for $13.99
- Black Nyko Charge Station Quad for Wii for $24.99
Also, if you buy Max Payne 3 right now, you get Max Payne Mobile and Max Payne 2 for free. Whew. That’s a lot of deals!
