Daily Scoop: February 9, 2012 – Just a Bit.Trip!

Hooray, it’s nearly the weekend! How exciting. What are you going to be doing? Playing video games with some kitties on your lap? Rolling dice with friends? Getting your board game on?

You should surely be prepping for the “Walking Dead” on Sunday, that’s for certain!

The only deal I’ve got today is Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games, which is Aksys’ Bit.Trip Complete for the Wii. It’s just $27.99 today, so scoop it up!

Daily Scoop: February 6, 2012 – Deals, deals, deals

Wow! This weekend was full of lots of fun gaming – of every kind. I played some Silent Hill and Chrono Trigger, some 4e Dungeons & Dragons, and topped it all off with some Pandemic. A little something for every kind of gamer in me…

Amazon’s got about a billion deals going on today. First, their Deal of the Day is a lightning deal, and it says: “The limited edition bundle of this popular strategy RPG is a true collector’s item for the Sony PS3!” I’m hoping it’s a deal on the Final Fantasy XIII-2, but I’m not going to hold my breath. It’ll go off at 5 PM EST.

Amazon’s also got Aksys’ Fate/Extra LE for $29.99 on the PSP, as well as the following PC downloads by Kalypso Media:

And don’t forget there’s still a deal going for $50 off the Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle with Kinect, and if you’re still behind on your Call of Duty games, you can get the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops for $14.99 used in the warehouse.

Daily Scoop: January 30, 2012 – An awesome t-shirt appears!

Mmm, another Monday. How I missed you, Monday. What? You know how to detect sarcasm? Well don’t you just get smarter with every passing week!

Ahem. Excuse me. The Deal of the Day in video games over at Amazon today is twofold – first, they’ve got $50 off the price of the Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle with Kinect, marking it down to $349 from $399.99. The second is the PC download of Risen, which is on sale for just $5.99 today. They’ve also got new weekly deals as well. Kinect games Jillian Michaels Fitness Adventure and Hulk Hogan’s Main Event are $19.99, PC game Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty is $39.99, and the accessory Cideko Air Keyboard Conqueror is $64.99. They’re also having a warehouse sale, where you can save up to 25% on select used games.

Daily Scoop: January 26, 2012 – Danger! Danger!

D&D Encounters last night was a blast! We’re a few weeks behind since the store has been closed for a month, but we took the time to play two encounters last night (and get our butts seriously kicked). Good times, man. Good times.

The Deal of the Day in video games over at Amazon today is Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL. It’s got 26 playable Cartoon Network characters (Ben 10 versus the Powder Puff Girls? Whaaaat?) and boasts an expansive story mode. It’s on sale today for $29.21 on the PS3, $27.99 on the Xbox 360, and $22.99 on the Wii.

Daily Scoop: January 25, 2012 – Encounters returns!

My favorite local board game store, Redcap’s Corner, re-opens today! That means D&D encounters returns tonight with a vengeance. I’m excited to see all my friends again and get back into the campaign! A campaign in which we are a party of pixies. We’re high-pitched and ready to wreck your day.

Lots of deals at Amazon following their ginormous Gold Box Event! The Deal of the Day in video games is the game of the year edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum. It’s just $14.99 today for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. They’ve also got three PC download sales. The first two are both by Sega – Total War: Shogun 2 and Sonic Generations, both for $14.99. The last one is EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion, and it’s on sale from $14.99 to… $14.95? What a deal?

Amazon also has their new weekly deals up. They’ve got a deal for $50 Off the Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle with Kinect, and $30 Off the Kinect Sensor with Kinect Adventures!. They’ve also got Modern Warfare 2 for $19.99 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, as well as $24.99 for Call of Duty: Black Ops Used from Warehouse Deals. That’s a lot of deals!

Daily Scoop: January 20, 2012 – Everybody’s gaming for the weekend

It’s finally Friday! I plan on playing a lot of Silent Hill tonight, after I poke around at some demos and maybe a multiplayer beta. It’s supposed to be cold and snowy, and what better way to deal with that than by gaming on your couch in a snuggy?

Amazon’s got two games as their Deals of the Day in video games today. The first is Ubisoft’s Anno 2070 for $34.99, and the second is EA’s Bulletstorm for $6.99, and both are PC downloads. It’s days like today I seriously wish I had a PC that could play games!
