This is an excellent time to be a fan of Japanese games – first there was yesterday’s Persona 2 announcement, and now NIS is pulling out all the stops! Those Disgaea games are really kicking my butt right now…
Speaking of totally awesome, don’t forget to check out our “What To Expect From E3 2011” list, which is updated regularly (including Sony and EA yesterday). The big show is looming!
Today’s Amazon Deal of the Day in video games today is Namco’s Active Life Outdoor Challenge for the Wii. Today’s t-shirt is called “Guided Tours,” and it’s from Tee Fury:

Daily Scoop: May 20, 2011 – 99 problems & a glitch ain’t one
I’ve been playing L.A. Noire since Tuesday, and this game is glorious. I haven’t had a single glitch (knock on wood), which is the opposite of the experience I had when playing Red Dead Redemption. In fact, I’ve been playing so much of the game that when I saw a girl walking down the street today with a shirt that said “I adore L.A.,” my brain automatically added the “Noire,” and I thought about what a great marketing strategy that would be for Rockstar.
Anyway! Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games today is Activision’s Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2010 with Gun Bundle for the Wii, which is just $19.99. I feel like this is what Amazon defaults to whenever they can’t figure out what to put up for their daily deal. Lame. They have added some new stuff to their clearance sale, though, so go crazy.
No game-related shirts today, but this awesome “Arrested Development”-inspired shirt over at Ript is tempting me:
I would love to play an Arrested Development game. See how many drinks Lucille can down before noon!

Daily Scoop: May 19, 2011 – Is it Resistance 3 time yet?
Ah, the Internet. It always brings me delicious things, like the glorious cover art for Resistance 3. It is beautiful. I can’t wait until September 6 to tear up some Chimera and find out what the hell happened to Nathan Hale. I can’t accept the ending of Resistance 2… *cries*
*Wipes tears* anyway, let’s talk deals. All I’ve got for you today is Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games: Activision’s GoldenEye 007 for the Wii. It’s just $24.99 today, and while it doesn’t come with the golden controller, it still comes with enough fan service to make the hardcore happy. Pick it up if you’ve been waiting for a price drop on the best James Bond game ever!
No game-related shirts, but I love today’s shirt.w00t:
It’s called “In A Galaxy Bar Far Away.” LOL!

Daily Scoop: Tuesday, May 17 – The Detective has landed
It’s May 17, and my copy of L.A. Noire is in my hands! I’m looking forward to getting home and trying my “Broderick Detective Suit” on to see how it fits. Go sleuthing powers!
Tomorrow is another all-day video game Gold Box Event at Amazon, woo! We’ll bring more details as soon as they’re available. As for today’s Amazon Deal of the Day in video games, we’ve got Sega’s Thor: God of Thunder. It’s $39.99 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and $29.99 on the Wii. In this game, you can “combat your enemies with powerful melee combos, lethal hammer throws and elemental storm powers” and “scale tall giants with the grappling system, using multiple points to climb up and target your enemy’s weak points.” If I wasn’t so skeptical about games based on movies, I would think this was epic!
No game-related shirts today, but shirt.w00t has one that no kitty lover can resist:
Eeeee I want to be home with my kitties!! >^..^<

Daily Scoop: Monday, May 16 – Almost L.A. Noire time!
Tomorrow is the day many have been waiting for: the release of L.A. Noire. How many people have it pre-ordered? With so many tasty deals – especially Kmart’s – it was a hard decision to make!
Today’s Amazon Deal of the Day in video games is pretty lame, I’ll admit. It’s Atari’s Freddi Fish ABC Under the Sea for the DS. It’s $13.49 from $19.99. And it’s really boring. Amazon needs to have more consistent deals – and better customer service! I’ve been at war with them since Friday about applying promotional credit to my purchases automatically without my consent. I’m this close to cancelling my account and Amazon credit card. Don’t make me do it!
In t-shirt world, Ript has a great one up today that Minecraft fans will be hard-pressed to not purchase, called Grim Creeper:
Brilliant!
