Disney Universe suit ups this Fall
The Disney/Square Enix partnership has produced six Kingdom Hearts games with a seventh in development. The House of Mouse must have taken that franchise’s mashup mentality to heart as they’ve announced Disney Universe will be available on the PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 this Fall.
Disney Universe will mix together characters from Disney’s animated and live-action films in a “fast-paced” and “frenetic” adventure. Players will be able to “suit up” as more than 40 Disney characters including Alice (Alice in Wonderland), Mike (Monsters, Inc.), Tron (Tron: Legacy) and Stitch (Lilo & Stitch). Once in costume, players will gain powers and tools related to their character of choice as they explore six worlds based on legendary Disney and Pixar films. And like any good family game, Disney Universe will also include a multiplayer mode for up to four players.
Disney Interactive plans to expand Disney Universe on the PS3 and Xbox 360 post-launch through an expanding universe of downloadloadable content and items including additional worlds, costumes and more available for purchase.

Check it out. That is a Ferrari 458 Italia. Don’t you just want to drive it? Well, you’ll get your chance soon as Turn 10 Studios has selected the 458 as the cover car for Forza Motorsport 4.
The racing sim will be available in a regular edition and a Limited Collector’s Edition this Fall. Information on the Limited Collector’s Edition are still being kept tightly under wraps, but Microsoft was willing to share details on the retailer-specific pre-order bonuses.
You can read all about those (and the day one “Ship Bonus” car pack) after the break. (more…)

Leaked Final Fantasy Type-0 trailer reveals nearly 20 minutes of gameplay
It’s been a while since we heard any news on Final Fantasy Type-0, since it was renamed from Final Fantasy Agito XIII with a very brief debut trailer. The scarcity of knowledge about what it will actually look like can end now, with nearly twenty minutes of in-game footage shown in the above video. Menus, town exploration, and combat are all seen, as well as some developer commentary, if you understand Japanese. It looks a lot like the action gameplay of Tetsuya Nomura’s Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia games, but hopefully this will bring more RPG flavor to original PSP Final Fantasy titles.

EA Sports is bringing a ton of new features to NHL 12 when the hockey sim faces off on the PS3 and Xbox 360 this Fall. You can check ’em all out right here, straight from EA…
Full-Contact Physics Engine: Real-time physics technology goes into overtime! Shatter the glass with helmet-popping hits along the boards, knock rivals over the boards and into the bench, and significantly impact the play of the goalie with screens and collisions as he fights through traffic to locate the puck. Game on!
All-New Dynamic Goalie Interaction: Stonewall your opponents with awe-inspiring desperation saves from your goalie as he covers every possible angle and works through screens and flying bodies in front of the net.
