Evolve: Behemoth and four new Hunters now available to download
A new Monster (Behemoth) and four new Hunters are now available to download in Turtle Rock’s 4v1 shooter, Evolve.
Behemoth is a massive rock beast that can also turn into a rolling ball of death to crush any Hunters that remain in his path. But the four new Hunters aren’t just going to lie down and die. The tattooed Torvald (Assault), enigmatic Crow (Trapper), psychotic Sunny (Support), and extraterrestrial Slim (Medic) all bring new weapons and abilities to the battle:
Torvald (Assault)
Punch through your enemies with the Assault character Torvald. His loadout includes a Mortar Cannon, Autofire Shotgun, and Shrapnel Grenades.Crow (Trapper)
Ensnare your enemies with the Trapper character Crow. His loadout includes a Kinetic Long Rifle, Stasis Gun, and a Pet Batray.Sunny (Support)
Give your teammates a boost with the Support character Sunny. Her loadout includes a Mininuke Grenade Launcher, Jetpack Booster, and a Shield Drone.Slim (Medic)
Protect your fellow Hunters with the Medic character Slim. His loadout includes a Leech Gun, Spore Cloud Launcher, and Healing Drone.
Players looking to expand Evolve will find that these add-on characters don’t come cheap. Each Hunter has been priced at $7.49 apiece, while Behemoth carries a $14.99 price tag. A new trailer showcasing all five new additions to the game has been embedded above.
Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 system bundles announced; All DLC coming to PS4 first

Sony also announced that all of Batman: Arkham Knight’s downloadable content, including any additional in-game missions or custom skins, will be available for the PS4 first.

Gears of War 4’s motion capture shoot is complete… here’s a teaser picture

Jack Felling, a developer at Black Tusk Studios, has given us our first look at the upcoming Gears of War 4. Apparently, the motion capture shoot for the Xbox One game just wrapped up, so Felling tweeted out a picture of an actor holding the game’s signature weapon, the chainsaw-tipped Lancer:

Development on Gears of War 4 (which is currently a working title for the game) began in January 2014. With all the motion capture work done, Black Tusk has clearly made some decent progress on the game over the last 15 months, but it’s likely still a ways from completion. Who knows, maybe we’ll hear more about Gears of War 4 at this year’s E3 Expo…

Lichdom: Battlemage will be released for consoles in Fall 2015

Maximum Games has announced they will bring Xaviant’s spell-casting first person shooter Lichdom: Battlemage to consoles this Fall. It’s currently unknown where Lichdome will be landing, but the PS4 and/or the Xbox One is probably a safe bet.
Lichdom: Battlemage is centered around characters known as Dragons, whose genders are based on the player’s selections at the beginning of the game. Magic is the only weapon that Dragons use throughout the game – no punching, no daggers…just pure, raw magical power. Unlike other spell-casting games, Lichdom: Battlemage has no limit to the amount of magic that can be used – no mana bars, no cooldowns.
“Everything about Lichdom: Battlemage is powerful… the combat, the magic, the enemies, the bosses…” said Michael McMain, the CEO and Creative Director at Xaviant. “We’re pleased to see the game will be available to more players looking for a unique spell-casting game on console.”
Lichdom: Battlemage was originally released last August for the PC exclusively through Steam.

Ubisoft unveils Operator System in Rainbow Six: Siege with new trailer, dev diary
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege has mostly kept to the shadows since its debut at the 2014 E3 Expo. But today, Ubisoft was ready to reveal a bit more about the game’s “Operator” character selection system.
Each of the game’s 20 Operators will serve as unique classes during multiplayer matches. Some are designed for offensive maneuvers while others are better at holding defensive positions. Each character will have their own individual style, including a variety of different skills and weapons. Players will have to figure out which Operators will work best together for Siege’s heavily team-based play.
PC players will be able to get a crack at the first ten Operators by registering for the PC-exclusive Closed Alpha at the official Rainbow Six site. The rest of us will have to read up on each Operator at the UbiBlog, watch an Operator-focused developer diary embedded after the break, or join the Closed Beta, which is scheduled for later this year. Every PC, PS4, and Xbox One player who pre-orders Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege will be able to take part in the Closed Beta.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege is expected to launch in late 2015. (more…)

Dragon Age: Inquisition’s Jaws of Hakkon add-on coming to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 in May

Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s first downloadable expansion, Jaws of Hakkon, made a surprise appearance on the PC and Xbox One last week. But BioWare stayed mum on when the add-on would launch on the PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360. Until now.
Today, BioWare confirmed that Jaws of Hakkon will be available on all other platforms beginning in May:
CONFIRMED: Dragon Age: Inquisition – Jaws of Hakkon comes to all other platforms in May! http://t.co/yqjUUsS5MR pic.twitter.com/sQAscNzJ59
— Dragon Age (@dragonage) March 30, 2015
An exclusivity contract between Microsoft and Electronic Arts ensured that the DLC would launch on the Xbox One first, but a nearly two-month delay for the other consoles is a bit on the ridiculous side.

Project Root flies onto PS4, Vita, Xbox One on April 28
OPQAM has announced their overhead shooter, Project Root, will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and Vita on April 28. If you’re a PlayStation gamer, you’ll be able to pick it up on both the PS4 and Vita with one purchase through Sony’s Cross-Buy program.
In Project Root, gamers will take on the role of rebel ace Lance Rockport who pilots the advanced F-72 Zonda hover fighter against the ruthless Prometheus Corporation. Taking place across eight different, huge and open levels, Project Root has players taking on enemies both in the air and on the ground, progressing with upgrades in firepower, armor and maneuverability. Gamers will utilize special weapon drops during battle, constantly evade a hell-storm of bullets and other projectiles, engage in frenetic boss battles, and strike at the root of the evil Prometheus Corporation bent on world domination.
Pablo Testa, the Technical Director at OPQAM, is ready to bring the formerly PC-exclusive game to console players: “We are extremely proud of our first game, and think that SHMUP fans, and anyone who enjoys a fast-paced and action-packed videogame, will have a lot of fun with Project Root.”
