New Releases: Hunted, Sims 3 Generations, BlazBlue Continuum Shift II, More

The month of May didn’t start with many big releases and it comes to an end in much the same way.
There’s Bethesda’s co-op action-adventure Hunted: The Demon’s Forge for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360; the latest Sims 3 expansion, The Sims 3: Generations; and the 3DS/PSP conversion of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II. That’s pretty much it. See you in June.

Sonic Generations, Shinobi confirmed for 3DS
The tireless sleuths at NeoGAF have uncovered the very interesting cover to the June 2011 issue of Nintendo Power (click the image to enlarge it).
After you get over the weirdness of seeing Sonic on the cover of Nintendo Power (I know Sonic games have been on Nintendo systems for a long time, but it’s still weird), you’ll see that the magazine confirms that Sonic Generations and a Shinobi revival are in development for the 3DS.
Sega was probably planning to make these announcements at E3 as the magazine will likely land on subscriber’s doorsteps after the game expo.

New Releases: Dirt 3, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Kung Fu Panda 2, More

An eclectic quartet of games highlights this week’s new release slate.
First up, there’s Codemasters’ rally racing simulation Dirt 3 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Then, Tecmo Koei takes 2D fighting into the third dimension with the “in your face” Dead or Alive: Dimensions on the 3DS.
More fighting fun can be had with THQ’s Kung Fu Panda 2 game adaptation. The publisher has done something interesting with the game and targeted each version towards a different peripheral. The Wii version requires the uDraw Tablet while the Xbox 360 edition requires the Kinect add-on. DS and PS3 versions are also available, though they use more traditional control schemes.
Finally this week, the Duke is back in Duke Nukem: Critical Mass on the DS. And that means we’re only three weeks from his glorious return on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Choose the Mega Man suit design that you want to see in Mega Man Legends 3

One of the cool aspects of Mega Man Legends 3 is the fact that Capcom is letting fans help design the game. If you haven’t gotten a chance to meet Aero, the new heroine chosen by those fans, take a look at her at the Capcom Unity blog.
As for Mega Man’s suit design, Capcom is offering up two choices. You can choose which one you think is cooler at the Mega Man Legends 3 Devroom.
Unfortunately, Capcom is delaying the release of Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version, the paid demo of the game that was set to premiere in June alongside the opening of the 3DS eShop. A new release date hasn’t been announced yet but Capcom is asking gamers to “Please wait just a little longer!“
