Hooray for Friday! It’s so close to the weekend. I plan on playing a lot of video games. What are you going to play?
There’s just one major deal today – Call of Duty: Ghosts is 50% off at Steam, marking it down to $29.99 for the weekend. Not only that – it’s also free to play all and double XP all weekend. I know I’m going to check it out!
There are a few good shirts today as well!

Get out! The Mario Brothers and Toad reimagined as the cast of Seinfeld
“You’re Player 1.”
“But I don’t wanna be Player 1.”
While most Mario mashups are interesting, it takes something truly special to bring it to the next level. And that’s what we get with Esquirebob’s “Mario Seinfeld.” Mario, naturally, slides into Jerry’s spot as the leader of the group. A befuddled (but wise) Luigi stands in for Kramer. And a absolutely bitter Toad takes the place of the long-suffering George Costanza.
If you were ever a fan of Seinfeld, this short is definitely worth a watch. And I demand a sequel featuring Bowser as Newman…

Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us documentary is available from Amazon for free
The Last of Us, Naughty Dog’s immersive, third-person action survival game, took the world by storm last year. It was almost universally loved and won many awards. But the Dogs were coming off of years of making Uncharted games, and it wasn’t the easiest road.
Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us is a documentary that follows the developers on their journey to create this game. It was previously available to Season Pass holders, but right now, it’s available for free on Amazon. It’s 95 minutes long, and will fill that hole you’ve had since you finished the Left Behind DLC.
UPDATE: The entire film has been posted to YouTube as well. Watch it right here after the break. (more…)

Daily Scoop: February 19, 2014 – TitanFall
I don’t really play shooters on the PC, simply because I never have. There’s nothing else to it, really – I just haven’t, and so I’m afraid to try it, because there are just so many buttons, and they’re all over a keyboard, and isn’t the controller so much easier? What TitanFall has taught me is that it’s not: in fact, it’s nowhere near as beautiful as using a keyboard and mouse. Or maybe this game just captures what it is to be a PC shooter so perfectly that it’s the best introduction I could ever have. Either way, the beta is this flawless, pulsating, nearly living thing that has taken over my free time, shredding it into tiny little unrecognizable strips.
All of this might be more perfectly told by Penny Arcade, but I still have feelings, too.
Back to reality: what are today’s deals? There’s less than a day left on the Humble Weekly Bundle, featuring several IndieCade darlings and supporting the IndieCade foundation. There are also some deals at the Humble Store as well, including Drunken Robot Pornography for $11.99 and Probably Archery for $8.99.
The Daily Deal at Steam today is Darkout, which is on sale for $7.49. And I forgot to mention yesterday that Garry’s Mod is also on sale for Midweek Madness, at the low price of just $2.49.
And now, the moment you’ve certainly been waiting for – the t-shirts!

Daily Scoop: February 18, 2014 – And more snow
Surprising no one, it snowed again last night, and no one plowed. That is to say, no one plowed near anywhere I had to be this morning! So it was a fun trudge to work in the snow. But I can’t complain, really – I love my new boots, which have failed to stop the snow, but are great to wear! Also, most of my trudging was from being tired due to playing Titanfall all night, so again… it’s my own fault.
Anyway, there are loads of deals happening right now! The current Gold Box Deal over at Amazon is the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on sale for $39.99. This is a great deal if you’re looking to pick up this title on the most recent generation of consoles.
Speaking of “shut up and take my money,” there’s a brand new Humble Bundle that you should all buy right now. Pay what you want for Guacamelee! Gold Edition, Dust: An Elysian Tale, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and The Swapper. Pay more than the average to also receive Antichamber and Monaco: What’s Yours Is Mine. I own almost all of these, but will gladly pay that little for just The Swapper.
There are also some deals happening at Steam. The Daily Deal is Farming Simulator 2013 Titanium Edition, which is 70% off at $8.39. The Midweek Deal is Space Engineers, which is 33% off at $10.04.
Finally, time for the t-shirts!
