Steam has some pretty good midweek madness deals happening right now as well. You can pick up Darksiders for $7.49 or one of my favorites, Hotline Miami, for a ridiculous $2.49. Amazing deals!

Daily Scoop: January 13, 2014 – More digital deals
Well, that was a lovely weekend, wasn’t it? The weather was perfect, the days are getting slightly longer, and the gaming is absolutely exquisite. We played so many games this weekend that my head is spinning. And Anthony Amato has gotten addicted to a neat Lego program that is sort of like Autocad but for Legos, which is mind blowing. All in all, a brilliant time! I hope you also were able to play lots of games, and that one of those games was Torchlight II, and that you then bought the game. If that’s the case, you should leave me a comment so we can be Steam friends and play together!
Speaking of digital games on the cheap, Amazon has Ace Patrol Pack for $5.99, Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons for $7.99, and How to Survive for $7.49, among others.
The Humble Store has a new deal as well – Nidhogg is on sale for $11.99 – and there are also some digital deals at Steam. Today’s deal is Surgeon Simulator on sale for $3.39. Scoop ’em up!
And, of course, I’ve got some t-shirts for you: (more…)

Steam is offering Torchlight II free-to-play this weekend until Sunday at 1PM PST. On top of that, it’s on sale for just $4.99, or get a four-pack for $14.99 – that’s 75% off! We’ve been playing this game a lot lately, and I can assure you that this is a pretty great deal.
There’s also a sale going on at GOG.com that’s just called Adventures NOW! The sale includes Tales of Monkey Island for $5.24, Sam and Max: The Devil’s Playhouse for $5.24, and Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures for $2.99.

Who Will Play Agent 47 in the New Hitman Film? The Frontrunner and 4 Alternate Picks

With the sad passing of actor Paul Walker in November 2013, many were curious how Universal would handle his character’s disappearance from Fast & Furious 7. After a brief hiatus, it looks as though a combination of methods will allow the character to retire gracefully, in memory of the actor. However, the future of the gargantuan car chase franchise overshadowed the fact that Walker was due to don the suit and red tie of Agent 47 to play the assassin in a rebooted film version of IO Interactive’s Hitman. As the world moves on, as it must, we thought we’d have a look at which actor would be best to take on the title character. (more…)
Daily Scoop: January 9, 2014 – Frozenbyte Humble Bundle
Anyone else out there using Raptr? I’m trying to get the hang of it, but it’s frustrating that it doesn’t work the same with every system. I can register my 3DS, but it doesn’t show what games I’m playing. It spams about PC games connected to my Steam account, but barely knows when I play games on the PSN. What’s the deal? I need the whole world to know the embarrassing number of hours I spend gaming. Get on it, Raptr.
A new week, a new Humble Weekly Bundle! This time, it’s Frozenbyte, with Shadowgrounds, Trine, and Jack Claw Prototype. Pay more than $6 to get Shadowground Survivor and Trine 2 Complete Story. And, as always, soundtracks are included.
There’s also a new bundle over at Indie Royale as well. Pay whatever the current minimum is for A Valley Without Wind, A Valley Without Wind 2, Cognition Episode 1: The Hangman, Cognition Episode 2: The Wise Monkey, Dungeon Hearts, Pid, Richard & Alice, and Waveform. Pay $6 or more for a bonus album!
Finally, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is another Midweek Madness deal at Steam for $7.49. The deal lasts until tomorrow.
Just one t-shirt today! (more…)

Daily Scoop: January 8, 2014 – Bit.Trip deals
Remember all that talking I did about Hammerwatch? Well, Anthony Amato and I beat it last night, and I can officially say that it’s one of those NES-hard games. I mean, just playing the game makes that clear, but the ending is a real punch in the face. If you’re aching for a serious challenge, you definitely should pick it up.
Speaking of games you should pick up, there are lots of Bit.Trip games on sale at the Humble Store right now, to complement Runner 2 being in the latest Humble Bundle. You can get Bit.Trip Beat, Bit.Trip Runner, and Bit.Trip Void, all for $1.99 each.
But wait – there’s more! Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is the Midweek Madness game at Steam, on sale for $9.99. Amazon also has some good Digital Deals right now, including Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition for $29.99, as well as The XCOM Collection and The Bureau: XCOM Declassified for $14.99 each.
And now, time for t-shirts! (more…)

Daily Scoop: January 7, 2014 – Polar Vortex
So there’s this thing happening in part of the world that is sort of crazy: it’s a distorted polar vortex, and basically it is making life really, really cold. We’re talking single digit degrees – in some cases in the negative. The best way to handle this weather is to stay inside and play video games. Trust me! I’m a professional.
If you’re looking for some new games to play while hiding from the cold, you’re in luck, because there’s a brand new Humble Bundle! Pay what you want for To the Room, Joe Danger 2: The Movie, Papa & Yo, and Runner2. Pay more than the average and unlock Reus and Surgeon Simulator 2013! Soundtracks are included for all of the games. This is a great lot, and you should be sure to pick it up! You’ve also got a little time left on the Humble Weekly Bundle as well, which includes Samorost 2, Machinarium, Lume, and Windosill, as well as Shelter and Botanicula when you pay more than the average. Scoop ’em all up!
Quite a few video game shirts available today! (more…)
