“Link’s Triumph” is the second greatest Zelda cartoon ever
We all know that the greatest version of Link in animated form is forever spouting the catchphrase, “Welllllll, excussssssssse meeeeeeeeee, Princess!” But Read Only Memory’s “Link’s Triumph” is a pretty close second.
“Link’s Triumph” is a collaboration between Shamoozal and GoNintendo, retelling the story of Link’s battle against the dragon that stands at the end of the first dungeon in The Legend of Zelda.
The cartoon is only 45 seconds long, but it’ll definitely be the best 45 seconds of your day. Just imagine what they could have done with a full minute.
Daily Scoop: December 24, 2012 – Less than 24 hours until Christmas
You’ve only got one more shopping day until Christmas is here! That is, if you’re one of those crazy people who actually shops in real stores still. I haven’t set foot in a mall for as long as I can remember. In fact, the only physical stores I ever go into are the ones that sell groceries, Redcap’s Corner, and Atomic City Comics. Other than that, I avoid them as much as possible!
Amazon is having some great digital deals right now. F.3.A.R. is $4.99, Max Payne 3 is $14.99, and Saints Row the Third – The Full Package is $7.49. You can also get some cheap packs, like the 2K Strategy Super Pack (loaded with Civilization and Stronghold games) for $19.99 and the Bioshock Dual Pack for $4.99. Those are deals you can get without leaving your house!
Two awesome t-shirts for you today, even if one is a repeat: (more…)

Daily Scoop: December 21, 2012 – Welcome, Apocalypse
Well, it’s December 21, and we’re still alive, though perhaps not for long. I’ve been seeing all different times for when the apocalypse is supposed to happen. We’re heading to the movies later, so maybe if it could wait until we get home? That would be super!
The Steam holiday sale is in full swing, and you’d be a fool not to check it out. Or maybe you’d be a fool to check it out. That depends entirely on how many games you have, whether you’re a hopeless digital hoarder, etc.
There’s also a great Humble Indie Bundle going on right now as well. It’s a great time to be a PC gamer!
Just two t-shirts today, both at the same site: (more…)

Daily Scoop: December 19, 2012 – Last night of Encounters
Tonight is the last night of this Encounter season, and I’m actually kind of sad to see it go! It’s been a really fun eight weeks. The next season doesn’t start until February 6, so I don’t know what I’ll do with my Wednesday nights in the interim. Rumor has it we’ll be playtesting some D&D Next, which I’m eager to try out!
As for deals, you might want to get on the latest Humble Indie Bundle, which just launched. You get the games The Binding of Isaac (plus the Wrath of the Lamb DLC), Closure, Eff, Shank 2, and Snapshot, plus Indie Game: The Movie, with a basic average donation. If you give more than the average, you also get Dungeon Defenders( with DLC) as well as Legend of Grimrock. Oh, and four soundtracks (six if you pay more). This is an amazing deal, and you should absolutely get it!
What else, you ask? Well, just more of Amazon’s featured video game deals, including Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City for $14.99, The Secret World for $29.99, Steel Diver for $6.99, Street Fighter X Tekken for $14.99, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition for $14.33, and Tera Online for $14.95. Scoop ’em up!
Just two game-related shirts today… and yes, I did cave and buy the Totoro shirt yesterday! (more…)

Daily Scoop: December 18, 2012 – Make up your mind, weather!
So, it’s December, and it’s a week until Christmas, and somehow it’s 60 degrees outside? Seriously, what is going on here? I can’t take this anymore, and neither can my brain. My headaches have been off the charts lately!
There are some great deals going on today. Amazon’s Gold Box deal is PS3 320 GB PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection Bundle for $249.99, $50 off the regular price. So that means you get LittleBigPlanet 2, Infamous 2, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One included, as well as whatever other crazy stuff Sony releases for free. And if you have a Vita, that Plus membership will get you a ton of games on there as well. This is a pretty good deal!
Also, GameStop has a bunch of great stuff going on in their weekly ad, including some great deals on Xbox 360 consoles on page 6. I keep telling myself I’m going to get that R2D2 Xbox 360! Maybe this is the week…
Sadly, only one shirt today, and it’s a repeat, but I’ve included something adorable as an added bonus: (more…)

Daily Scoop: December 17, 2012 – What did you ask for?
It’s Monday again! It’s like this happens every week or something. But luckily, it’s the last Monday before the long holiday break. I am looking forward to sitting around, gaming, cleaning, and eating! Well, ok, I’m not really looking forward to cleaning, but I am looking forward to cleaning out some of my old junk. I may even sell some of the old games I don’t play anymore. But… but I don’t want to!
There are some more deals going on over at Amazon right now, for those of you looking for last-minute gifts, or something you asked for that you know you might not get. Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion is $19.99, the Game of Thrones Art Book Bundle is $19.99 (WOW!), Power Rangers Samurai is $19.99, and the Zone of the Enders HD Collection is $24.99. I think I might cave and get that Game of Thrones set. It’s too good to be true!
Just one shirt for you today, but it’s a funny one! (more…)

Daily Scoop: December 14, 2012 – Meteor shower?
Sadly, I missed the meteor shower last night. That’s one drawback of living in the city, I suppose! You don’t ever really get to see any stars, or anything cool in the night sky. But at least I’m going to a cool indie games showcase tonight! I am really looking forward to that. It’ll be a great way to start off the weekend!
I’m really just going to talk about those Amazon deals again, because every time I look, I feel like they’ve snuck more games in. The Amazing Spider-Man, Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy, and Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two are all $29.99. Those are pretty sweet deals!
Got a few shirts to tempt you before the weekend starts! (more…)

Daily Scoop: December 13, 2012 – Getting close to Christmas
There are just twelve days until Christmas – are you ready? I have a White Elephant party I’m going to, and I still haven’t purchased a gift yet. I took a look at some board games last night, but it’s so difficult to decide sometimes. Do I just get something I know I would like and hope for the best? That’s usually what I do, but it seems… selfish. And also makes me sad when someone else takes it home!
Not much to report deal-wise. In case you didn’t have a chance to look through those Amazon deals, there are plenty of good ones. Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse and WWE ’13 are $49.99, Fallout 3: Game of The Year Edition is $12.50, and this adorable DS Universal Super Mario Denim Case is just $9.99. Scoop ’em up!
