Watch Episode 4 of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn now
The fourth episode of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn has arrived and the Master Chief has come with it. It may not be a Halo movie, but the super soldier also known as John-117 has certainly been making the live action rounds over the last two weeks. Here’s where we’re at this week:
While Corbulo Academy is being destroyed by the Covenant invasion, the surviving cadets fight bravely alongside their only hope: The Master Chief.
And don’t forget, next Friday, November 2, marks the conclusion of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, four days ahead of Halo 4‘s launch on the Xbox 360.

Daily Scoop: October 26, 2012 – Hurricane Sandy
Anytime anyone says “Hurricane Sandy,” all I can think about are pecan sandies, and it makes me hungry. I don’t know if that’s the normal reaction – I guess most people think “get to the store for bread and milk!” But for me, it’s all about cookies. And besides, I prefer calling it the Frankenstorm, if I must refer to it.
Not much going on deals-wise, other than the 72 hour sale at Square Enix. They’ve discounted a bunch of games, including Final Fantasy XIII-2, Sleeping Dogs, and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. I’ve wanted that last game since PAX East but it’s always so darn expensive! Maybe this weekend I will cave and pick it up.
I’ve got a couple of cute game-related shirts for you today! (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 25, 2012 – Post Office Brawls
Do you know what I don’t do often? Mail packages. In fact, I use snail mail relatively infrequently these days. But I need to mail something to the UK, and guess what? It’s really expensive. I had no idea how much money it cost to physically get something across a giant ocean. It’s a dilly of a pickle!
In other news, our first session of the new D&D Encounters season was last night! This new season will be incorporating elements of D&D Next, the new edition of D&D. So far, it seems pretty interesting, but we’ll have to wait and see how the sessions pan out. I’ll be the DM again, which I’m a little nervous about, but I’m hoping it will be a learning experience!
And now, to the heart of the matter! Today’s deals are sort of just a rehash from earlier this week. Remember those sales I said Amazon was having on games? Well, they’ve added a boatload more to the sale, which they’re calling “Halloween Deals.” You can see the complete list here. Scoop ’em up!
Finally, there are a couple of good t-shirts up today for your perusal: (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 24, 2012 – Ding! Level up
We made it to Wednesday, everyone! Pretty sure that gives us enough experience to level. I might even get to learn the move “Relax.” But Nicole already knows four moves! What move do I get rid of? Sometimes, Pokemon eerily tells the story of my life…
Anyway, just one awesome deal today, and that’s over at Steam. You can get every Assassin’s Creed game on the PC right now for just $38.74. So that’s Assassin’s Creed: Director’s Cut Edition, Assassin’s Creed 2 Deluxe Edition, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations, along with some AC Revelations DLC. If you were waiting for a sale to get them all before the next round of games come out, this is your lucky day!
Two great t-shirts available today: (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 23, 2012 – The war on sleep
I’ve been having a rough time of it lately. For some reason, no matter how much or little sleep I get, I’ve been exhausted. Sure, it could be all the things I’m doing, or my insanely vivid dreams, or the change in seasons. But the problem is that I don’t know what it is, or how to counter it. So today I decided that instead of being miserably tired and dragging all day, I was just going to power through it. So, take that, exhaustion! I am just going to ignore you. That may turn me into a narcoleptic, but whatever. Bring it on.
Let’s see, what are the deals today? Well, Thinkgeek is having a ludicrous sale, with some items up to 75% off! There are lots of Portal and Portal 2 items on sale, including Portal Turret LED Flashlight w/ Sound (20% off) and the Portal Weighted Companion Cube Plush (33% off). There’s other game-related stuff, too, like this Minecraft Creeper Shirt, Super Mario Yahtzee, and oh my gosh Quarriors is 50% off at $24.99!! Holy crap! BUY IT!! Right now!!
My head just exploded.
Also sorely tempting my wallet today are all these t-shirts: (more…)

Daily Scoop: October 22, 2012 – Busy busy
Well I’ve been a busy lady! We played some Dungeons and Dragons as well as danced the night away at a wedding Saturday, and Sunday was full of tabletop RPGs and watching The Walking Dead at our favorite local comic book store. A lot of fun, a lot of laughter, and even a chance for some sleep in there. Oh, and gaming, of course!
I’ve been playing a lot of Borderlands 2 with my boyfriend – he’s the Mechromancer and I’m playing the Gunzerker this time around. I’m also completely engrossed in Pokemon Black 2. Really, I’m paying attention to you, I’m just grinding. I can multitask!
Amazon has a load of new deals today. Check ’em out!
- Get Darksiders II for $40
- Pick up Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier for $32.99
- Let The Darkness II scare you for $19.99
- Kill zombies in Dead Rising 2 for $16.99
- Save 15-48% on F.E.A.R. 3
- Get Suda51’s crazy Lollipop Chainsaw for $29.99
- Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition is just $19.99
- Save 25-33% on The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings Enhanced Edition
- Save 25% on Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Swamp and Scooby Doo First Frights
Whew! That is a ridiculous number of deals! And now, time for the t-shirt of the day: (more…)

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn – Part 3 is now available
It’s a fine Friday morning and that means one thing, a new episode of the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn webseries is available for your viewing pleasure. It makes a nice companion to the David Fincher-produced/Tim Miller-directed Halo 4 live-action trailer that went live late last night.
So what’s in store for Part 3? How about the continuing adventures of Hastati Squad…
Just as Hastati Squad is confronted by a video of secret ONI super-soldiers, their war and their whole universe are changed forever by a much more deadly surprise.
The fourth part of the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn webseries will be available next Friday, October 26.

Daily Scoop: October 18, 2012 – How is it not Friday?
This week has been dragging on for a million years. Or at least for two weeks. I think someone tricked us and removed our weekend and made us work a ten-day week. Someone needs to fix this atrocity this instant!
No deals today, but this awesome NES mod will absolutely blow your mind. As my friend Darin called it, it’s a Ninception!
Two game-related shirts up today, folks! (more…)
