Nintendo has announced a new slate of stops for the tour, which will be conducted by Eímear Noone with arrangements by music director Chad Seiter.

The newly announced dates are as follows:

  • September 22: Minneapolis; Orpheum Theatre
  • October 12: Dallas; AT&T Performing Arts Center
  • October 18: Boston; Wang Theatre
  • October 25: Chicago; The Chicago Theatre
  • November 3: San Antonio; The Majestic Theatre
  • November 6: Calgary, Alberta; Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
  • November 28: New York; The Theater at Madison Square Garden
  • December 8: West Palm Beach, Fla.; Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts
  • December 9: Miami; Adrienne Arsht Center
  • December 14: San Jose, Calif.; San Jose Civic

In addition to the concerts, the Nintendo World store in New York City’s Rockerfeller Plaza is hosting a series of events on Friday September 14th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Eastern Time). Fans will be able to take part in an ocarina workshop and have their photo taken with Link cosplay model Li Kovacs. The first people through the door will also receive a free goodie bag full of Symphony of the Goddesses merchandise, so get their early!

Daily Scoop: September 7, 2012 – Get ready to rock!

We made it! We survived to the weekend. Great job, everyone! Another work week in the rear-view mirror. Time to go home and game myself silly.

Speaking of silly gaming, have you seen the Borderlands demake? No? Well go do it. Don’t worry, I’ll wait.

Back? Great! Sad to say there aren’t really any deals going on today. Well, no new deals. Old deals from earlier this week are still happening, so go scope those out!

Some shirts and a cool bonus after the break! (more…)

Daily Scoop: September 6, 2012 – Nearly the weekend!

Whoa! Tomorrow is Friday already! Welcome to the weekend. I love short weeks. In fact, I think it would be great if all weeks could be shorties like this one. Wishful thinking…

Let’s see… not a lot going on, deals-wise. But you can check out what Amazon’s got for under $30. There’s some good stuff there, including Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception for the staggeringly low price of $19.81. Whew. Scoop it up!

A couple of really rad shirts wait for you after the jump! (more…)

Mario Warfare brings gunplay to Mushroom Kingdom… already better than 1993 film

A trailer has hit for “Mario Warfare,” an upcoming web series from an outfit known as Beatdown Boogie. It looks like someone has thrown all of our favourite Mario characters, the bravado of Call of Duty, and the bullet choreography from The Matrix into a crazy blender. The resulting trailer looks to be being something that is quite funny, and already outshines the notoriously awful Super Mario Bros. film.

No date has been set for the debut of the first episode (“And don’t ask!” the trailer threatens), so keep a watch on Beatdown Boogie via Facebook and Twitter for more information.

Daily Scoop: September 5, 2012 – More games, more problems

I love games. Video games, board games, card games… it’s becoming kind of a problem, if you know what I’m saying. If I had more time to play them, it might be alleviated a bit. But I cram all my free time with them. Last night, it was Cards Against Humanity (with the new expansion!) and Super Dungeon Explore, with just a pinch of Ascension. Tonight? Dungeons and Dragons and Rainbow Moon, and maybe Chrono Trigger if I’m lucky. My heart is not complaining. My classwork and wallet are.

Anyway! A big thanks to Mike Ryan for his Bonus Scoop he wrote yesterday about Kid Icarus: Uprising. Way to keep a sharp eye out!

What have we got for you today? Well, Best Buy is having a buy two, get one free sale on 3DS games, including Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. I started buying some of them until I remembered I’m supposed to stop buying games for real, and then I had an argument with myself while holding my wallet and staring at the computer screen.

This is really what my life is like.

Amazon is still having their back to school sale, including Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for $39.99, the ultimate edition of Fallout: New Vegas for $29.99, and Max Payne 3 for $39.99. Scoop ’em up, folks!

Just one cool t-shirt for you today… (more…)

Bonus Scoop: September 4, 2012 – Kid Icarus: Uprising for $14.99

Best Buy‘s current Deal of the Day is the Nintendo’s own Kid Icarus: Uprising. The title, which normally retails for $39.99, is on sale for the next nine hours or so for a measly $14.99. And yes, the 3DS game comes packed with a 3DS stand. With almost universal positive reviews, this is definitely one angelic deal (Get it? He’s an angel!). Plus, it’s not to early to get some of that holiday shopping done early!

If you’re interested in a wrist-sprainingly good time at a moderate price, scoop it up!

Daily Scoop: September 4, 2012 – Hiatus over!

Hi there! Did you miss me? I was on vacation for the last 10 days, and it was amazing. I’m sure that you were sad and missed me, but fear not! I have returned, to bring you the best deals and the cutest game-related t-shirts on the Internet.

It’s been a really busy week for me. I did a lot of homework, played a lot of video games, read some books, played some board games and Dungeons and Dragons, and, oh yeah: my friend launched the Kickstarter I’m involved in. He’s making a game and I’m writing the story. Get in on the magic!

First up: Toys R Us is having a sale on some new and new-ish games. The sale is two for $60, which is pretty darn good for some of these titles. Take a look:

  • Prototype 2 for PS3 and Xbox 360 (retail is $49.99)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for PS3 and Xbox 360 (retail is still $59.99)
  • Max Payne 3 for PS3 and Xbox 360 (retail is $59.99)
  • Darksiders II for PS3 and Xbox 360 (retail is $59.99)
  • Mass Effect 3 for PS3 and Xbox 360 (retail is $39.99)
  • The Amazing Spider-Man for PS3 and Xbox 360 (retail is $59.99)
  • NCAA Football 13 for PS3 and Xbox 360 (retail is $59.99)
  • Sleeping Dogs for PS3 and Xbox 360 (retail is $59.99)

Those are some pretty amazing savings. I want Darksiders II and Max Payne 3, but I also want to catch up on my ludicrously huge backlog, so go figure.

Next up: today’s awesome t-shirts! (more…)
