Daily Scoop: March 6, 2012 – Time for Mass Effect 3
If you’re anything like Warp Zoned-ers Ryan Littlefield and John Martin, then you’re probably already playing Mass Effect 3. You’ve either called in sick or taken the day off months ahead of time in order to bask in that new-game smell. I hope everyone is having an awesome time! I need to be that excited about a game… well, Borderlands 2 isn’t that far off, amirite?
Anyway, not much in the way of deals today – Amazon’s got their Deal of the Day in video games, which is just Activision’s Guitar Hero 5 Stand Alone Software for $19.99. They’ve also got two brand new weekly deals up – one is Final Fantasy XIII-2 on sale for $44.99 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The other deal is 15% off the Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect, bringing it down to $255.98. Scoop ’em up!

Daily Scoop: March 5, 2012 – Skyrim day!
Wow, that weekend flew by! I played a lot of D&D, Pandemic, Silent Hill, and Final Fantasy XIII-2. Oh, and I freaked out over last night’s episode of “The Walking Dead.” Are the writers actively trying to destroy the story? I mean seriously guys. Guys… seriously.
Anyway, apparently it’s Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim day today! It’s the Amazon Deal of the Day in video games for just $39.99 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If you haven’t gotten a chance to pick this game up yet, what are you waiting for? Now’s your chance!
Today’s t-shirt is related to Skyrim, and should elicit more than a few chuckles: (more…)

USC is the top Video Game Design school for third year in a row
The University of Southern California (USC) has topped a Princeton Review report as the best undergraduate and graduate Video Game Design program for the third straight year. Actually, many schools that appeared on the 2011 list made a repeat appearance this year. The one big addition, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which landed at #2 on the undergraduate list and #3 on the graduate list.
The results of the report were gathered through a survey conducted during the 2011-2012 academic year of administrators at 150 institutions. The 50-question survey gauged the quality of the curriculum, faculty, facilities and infrastructure of the selected schools.
All told, the Princeton Review created a top ten list for both undergraduate and graduate programs along with selecting 30 honorable mentions.
The complete list can be found after the break. (more…)
Daily Scoop: March 1, 2012 – In like a lion…
Hello, March! So glad to see you. That means we’re one step closer to beautiful spring! If we can just get through a few more weeks without a major snowstorm, we’ll be scott free. Hopefully I didn’t just jinx us…
Anyway, what’s going in the world of deals? Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games is Sega’s Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics for the Wii. It’s on sale for today only for just $34.99. Is this your bag, baby? Then scoop it up! Not sure why I just went into Austin Powers mode! Must be my hyper-ness pouring out through my fingers.
Sadly, there are no game-related shirts, but there’s an awesome poster I’d like to share, as well as some cool shirts I just happen to like: (more…)
