Lego Jurassic World will launch on June 12 with more than 20 playable dinosaurs
Eventually you do plan to have dinosaurs in your, in your dinosaur game, right?
Oh, umm, never mind, Lego Jurassic World will actually feature more than 20 playable dinosaurs and they’re all right here in this new trailer. In addition to this new look at the game’s adorable (and deadly) beasts, WB Games and TT Games have also announced it’ll be available in stores for the 3DS, PC, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on June 12.
Players who plan to purchase Lego Jurassic World from select retailers will also receive a little bonus packed in with the game. These select retailers include GameStop (Lego Dino Trap Mini Playset), Target (Dr. Wu Minifigure), and Walmart ($10 Movie Cash Certificate).
The latest Jurassic Park film, Jurassic World, will also open on June 12, so that Movie Cash Certificate might come in handy.
The Walking Dead Season 3 won’t be out until 2016 but “something BIG” is coming in 2015

Job Stauffer, Telltale’s Director of Public Relations, has some bad news for fans of The Walking Dead. Tweeting today about The Walking Dead Season 3, Stauffer revealed the first episode of the game won’t be released this year:
To re-clarify, no, TWD S3 is *not* starting in 2015. But what I am seeing this week will be, and it is insanely cool. Stay close, news soon!
— Job J Stauffer (@jobjstauffer) May 12, 2015
However, you shouldn’t despair too much. Stauffer followed that tweet with a second one promising that “something BIG for [Walking Dead] fans” would be released this year. We don’t know for sure, but Stauffer could be referring to another bridge episode, similar to the way The Walking Dead: 400 Days was released about seven months after the completion of Season 1, but five months before the beginning of Season 2.
In hindsight, its likely that Telltale never planned to launch The Walking Dead Season 3 in 2015. With multiple episodes for Game of Thrones and Tales From the Borderlands still in the works and the launch of Minecraft: Story Mode penciled in for a Fall 2015 release, Telltale’s plate was already pretty overflowing.

Igarashi’s Bloodstained is fully-funded and whipping its way through stretch goals

Are we in the middle of a Kickstarter renaissance? Maybe…
First there was the smashing success of Yooka-Laylee, and now, Koji Igarashi’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is off to an incredibly fast start. The gothic side-scroller has collected nearly $1.8 million in pledges, vaulting well past its $500,000 funding goal and obliterating a whole series of stretch goals.
These stretch goals will expand the scope of Bloodstained and add in a variety of additional features including a second playable character, a Nightmare difficulty mode, voice acting from David Hayter, a cheat codes menu, local co-op play, and a Speed Run Mode. A Boss Rush Mode has been promised if the campaign reaches $2 million and even more stretch goals are planned beyond that point.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s Kickstarter campaign still has 30 days remaining. If you’re interested in what Igarashi is doing, be sure to check it out.

Tom Clancy’s The Division + “Unannounced AAA Title” will launch in early 2016

Tom Clancy’s The Division opens with a terrorist attack on Black Friday, but the game itself will definitely miss this year’s pre-Christmas shopping bonanza. That’s because Ubisoft has announced (via their latest Investor Presentation) the PC, PS4, and Xbox One game will be pushed back to early 2016. More specifically, the game will be released during the fourth quarter of Ubisoft’s 2016 fiscal year, which runs January 1, 2016 through March 31, 2016.
Antoine Emond, The Division’s Community Development Lead, delivered this message to fans on the game’s official website: “All of us at Massive, Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, and Ubisoft Annecy want to ensure the game not only meets our high expectations but also those of our fans and players alike. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and can’t wait to show you more next month at E3!”
In the same Investor Presentation, Ubisoft also revealed that a previously unannounced “AAA Title” will be released in early 2016. More details will surely be revealed during the publisher’s E3 Press Conference, which is scheduled for June 15.
Ubisoft officially announces Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
Originally announced last year as Assassin’s Creed: Victory, Ubisoft officially unveiled the next Assassin’s Creed game as Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate today. Set in Victorian London, the game will star Jacob and Evie Frye, siblings and Assassins.
The Frye siblings will have a completely new arsenal of weapons at their disposal including a grappling hook, a kukri knife, brass knuckles, and a sword cane. In addition to controlling both twins, players will also be able to command the strongest gang in the London underworld as they bring new meaning to the phrase “class warfare”:
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is an epic single player experience set in London during the height of the Industrial Revolution, an incredible age of invention that transforms the lives of millions. During this time, the gap between the poor and the rich expands exponentially, making workers’ lives little more than legalized slavery. The lower classes fight for survival by forming a new kind of family – gangs — and adapting to a life in the underworld. Players will embody both Jacob Frye and Evie Frye, twin Assassins raised to follow the Creed. Jacob, a determined, hot-headed and rebellious leader of an underground gang, is vastly different than his sister Evie, a master of stealth and control. Together, Jacob and Evie team up to challenge rivals, plutocrats and Templars alike to free the masses from poverty and corruption, and ultimately wrestle back control of London.
In development at Ubisoft Quebec, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 23. But in the more immediate future, a nine-minute gameplay trailer is available after the break to give players an even more in-depth look at the game. (more…)

The Evil Within’s final expansion, The Executioner, will be released on May 26
Bethesda has announced that the third (and final) downloadable expansion for The Evil Within will be released on May 26. Titled “The Executioner,” this add-on will allow players to take control of the dreaded Keeper (or Boxman, if you prefer). Besides playing as the ridiculously insane monster, The Executioner expansion will shift the game to a first-person view, forcing players to peer out the safe door the Keeper keeps on his head.
Like the previous expansions, The Executioner will be available as part of The Evil Within’s Season Pass or as a standalone download on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
The Odd Gentlemen assemble an impressive cast for King’s Quest in this new trailer
Sierra Games and The Odd Gentlemen are still toiling away at King’s Quest, but they’re ready to give the game’s expansive voice cast the spotlight in a new behind-the-scenes trailer.
Back to the Future‘s Christopher Lloyd steals the show as Old King Graham, but its Josh Keaton (best known as the voice of Spider-Man in The Spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions) as Young King Graham that players will get to know the most. As the main character of the game, he’ll interact with all the other characters including Tom Kenny (Adventure Time) as the wily Merchant of Miracles, Zelda Williams (The Legend of Korra) as “no-nonsense blacksmith” Amaya Blackstone, Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride) as “clever” Manny, and Maggie Elizabeth Jones (We Bought A Zoo) as Gwendolyn, the King’s granddaughter.
According to the Activision Games Blog, the remainder of the cast will include Michael Benyaer, Loretta Devine, Gideon Emery, Jean Gilpin, Michael Gough, Andy Pessoa, Kevin Michael Richardson, Kath Soucie, Fred Tatasciore, Richard White, and Michael-Leon Wooley.
The first episode of the King’s Quest reboot will be available “later this year” for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
