Do you expect me to talk? No Mr. Bond, I expect a Goldfinger mission in 007 Legends
Activision has made a few dubious film choices for 007 Legends, their decades-spanning history of the James Bond franchise. Moonraker, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and Die Another Day may have their moments, but they’re not considered the best of Bond by a long shot.
Thankfully, Activision’s final pick is the best Bond film of all-time… Goldfinger! The Fort Knox caper will include appearances from Auric Goldfinger, Oddjob, and Pussy Galore along with the crotch laser and a naked painted lady. Do you expect me to talk? Because if you do, I’ll say woohoo!
007 Legends will be available for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on October 16 with a Wii U version scheduled for release in November.
Nights, Sonic Adventure 2 coming to PSN/XBLA in first week of October
Sega has announced a release date for the next two “Sega Heritage” HD re-releases on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Both Nights Into Dreams and Sonic Adventure 2 will be available during the first week of October, with PlayStation players getting the titles slightly earlier than their Xbox brethren on Tuesday, October 2nd. The two games will be added to the XBLA release on Friday, October 5th, three days later. Both games will be available for $9.99 or £6.49 in England or €7.99 in Europe or 800 Microsoft Points on the XBLA.
The two titles will come with a heap of extras. Nights Into Dreams will come complete with the festive add-on, Christmas Nights. Sadly, Sonic Adventures 2’s Battle Mode is paid DLC (for an additional $3.00 / 240 Microsoft Points) and will feature the extra content that came with the GameCube version of the game, including Chao Karate.

Daily Scoop: September 17, 2012 – Borderlands 2 tonight!
I am freaking out over how excited I am about Borderlands 2 coming out at midnight tonight. Please don’t expect me to be coherent for a few days. I’m going to be destroying everything I see in Pandora for at least the first 24 hours. I’m playing it on the PlayStation 3, which seems to be depressing some of my friends, but oh well. I’m doing this! I’m making it happen.
Interested in playing with my friends and me while we wreak havoc across the planet? Leave a comment here or tweet at us (@WarpZoned) and tell me why you think you’re worth it. The luckiest person will get an invite to my PSN friends list and can see how pathetic my trophy collection really is.

Huge Rock Band DLC sale this week!

Today, Harmonix announced that they are “slashing” (it’s a Guns n’ Roses reference, people) prices of over 1,100 downloadable songs and packs in the Rock Band Store by half! Furthermore, every song is compatible with the recently-released Rock Band Blitz.
Here’s the official update schedule from the Rock Band forums:
Here is the expected timing for the roll out of discounts on different consoles in different regions. This is a HUGE update (seriously, we’re discounting more DLC than most games have ever released) so there are a lot of moving pieces and things may not go 100% to plan, but we’ll update if things look like they’re changing.
Tuesday September 18th
Xbox 360 (worldwide) will be updating in a gradual roll out, and all pricing is expected to update by noon ET.
Nintendo should be updating at the same time that Wii DLC usually goes live.
Sony America (SCEA) is expected to update at the same time that PS3 DLC usually goes live.
Wednesday September 19th
Sony Europe (SCEE / Sony International) is expected to update when PS3 DLC usually goes live.
If you check in and content is not appearing with the new pricing, sit tight and it may be updating shortly. We’ll be keeping an eye on things on our end to make sure we catch any content that slips through the cracks. Enjoy!
So get those points ready! For a list of all the songs included in the sale, click here!
New Releases: Borderlands 2, Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set, F1 2012, More

The Fall gaming rush has definitely arrived as one of this season’s most anticipated releases, Borderlands 2 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), will be available in stores this week. If wacky adventures on Pandora in search of loot aren’t your thing, then perhaps you’d prefer to punch it out with your friends thanks to the massive Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector’s Set (PS3, Xbox 360).
If neither of these options are to your liking, there’s always the open wheel racing thrills of F1 2012 (PS3, Xbox 360) and several other new releases that can be found after the break. (more…)
Fuse (formerly known as Overstrike) set for March 2013 release
Insomniac Games is working with EA on its first multiplatform release. Originally known as Overstrike, it’s now called Fuse. The official announcement trailer can be seen above, and it’s a bit different from the E3 2011 trailer.
While the Insomniac feel is still there – the crazy weapons, the giant enemies – there’s definitely a change in tone between those two trailers. Gone is the cartoony fun we know from Ratchet and Clank. There’s more of a Resistance feel happening here, but even that seems a bit stripped down. Hopefully teaming up with EA and going multiplatform isn’t choking the creativity out of this much-beloved studio.
First Earth Defense Force 4 trailer and details revealed
How many hours have I poured into Earth Defense Force 2017 and Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. Probably more than most people would consider healthy. So it is with great sadness that I tell you that Earth Defense Force 4 still doesn’t have a North American release date. However, what it does have is a debut trailer and some fresh gameplay details courtesy of Famitsu (via Destructoid).
The fourth official game in the series takes place in 2025, eight years after the events of EDF 2017. The Ravagers left a little surprise for humanity after a lone soldier kicked their alien asses. A colony of giant bugs has been growing beneath the Earth’s surface and now they’re ready to strike!
But humanity has a few new tricks of their own. The EDF has been outfitted with weaponry scavenged from the Ravagers previous attack including the jetpack squadron known as “Wing Divers” with their “Foreigner” guns. And taking a page from Insect Armageddon, developer Sandlot also plans to expand on the online multiplayer offerings in EDF4.
Earth Defense Force 4 is in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be available in Japan next year. Let’s hope D3 announces a US release date soon or I might just be forced to unleash a real swarm of giant ants and spiders on the world to get my EDF fix.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 starts scoring on September 25

Get your studs on, because Konami’s FIFA rival Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 25th. The company hopes to hand players an unparalleled level of control over the on-pitch action, making sure every pass, tackle and shot is performed as the gamer intends. As well as the UEFA Champions League, which has appeared in past games, for the first time a Pro Evolution Soccer game will feature all twenty teams from Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A.
As well as the teams, the players will be controlled by what Konami has dubbed ProActive AI, meaning players will not just look like their real-life counterparts, but also behave like them, from how they run and tackle, to which foot they favour when they shoot.
