Sony @ E3 11: God of War Origins Collection, Ico & Shadow coming September in 3D
We already heard about Monster Hunter and Peace Walker coming to PlayStation 3 in high definition. Now, SCEA President & CEO Jack Tretton has confirmed the release date for two other highly anticipated PSP Collections. Both God of War: Origins Collection (compiling the formerly PSP-exclusive Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta) as well as the Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection will release in September for PS3.
Many were worried once Ico & Shadow was delayed with an unspecified new release date, but it doesn’t seem like we’ll have to wait long.

Sony @ E3 11: Sony announces affordable 3D display and glasses for gamers
Tretton announced that Sony has created a 24 inch 3D monitor, bundled with a pair of 3D glasses, a 6 foot HDMI cable, and Resistance 3 for $499. This will bring the immersive 3D experience to gamers who can’t afford the steep price tag on 3D TVs and glasses.
But $499 is still a hell of a lot of money.

Sony @ E3 11: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception gameplay more seamless than ever
Jack Tretton said that some games are only possible on the PlayStation 3, and then immediately turned the stage over to Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra. The Dogs took us through a scene with Drake running around on a boat, chandeliers swaying, Drake trying to gain footing. Drake stealthed his way into a short cutscene, and then fought his way out of a sinking ship – literally. The new limited HUD is nice, though I’m assuming it’ll be a feature you can opt to turn on or off.
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will be out November 1. Hop in even earlier to the multiplayer beta, which begins June 28.

Sony @ E3 11: Sony adds Cinema Now to PlayStation Network
Jack Tretton announced at the Sony press conference that they’ll be adding Cinema Now, a website that allows you to watch new Hollywood releases on your PlayStation 3.
Tretton said it would be available later this year.
EA @ E3 11: Battlefield 3 to get tracking/social service, multiplatform open beta incoming
Battlefield 3 is the arguable centerpiece of EA’s E3 press conference, and it’s certainly getting the star treatment. DICE has revealed that a service similar to Call of Duty: Elite will be launching for the game, where players can track their statistics and organize into squads, even launching the game from the service. We’ll also be able to taste the game’s sweet multiplayer soon, as an open beta will begin soon and continue on until September.
Battlefield 3 will be released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 25.
EA @ E3 2011: Insomniac’s mulitplatform title is Overstrike
Insomniac Games founder Ted Price has taken the stage at EA’s press conference and revealed Overstrike, the company’s first multiplatform title. After serving up PlayStation fans since Sony’s original console, Insomniac will finally bring its wacky weapons, humor, and storytelling to Microsoft fans. The four-player co-op game follows an elite anti-terrorist group known as the Overstrike 9 as they attempt to stop an attempt to wipe out humankind.
Overstrike is in in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
EA @ E3 11: Need For Speed: The Run takes you out of the car
That’s right. For the first time in the series, Need For Speed: The Run will have sequences when players actually exit the vehicle. These segments complement the characteristic chase sequences of the series well, as they look mostly like action-packed cutscenes where quick time events determine whether or not you get away safely (and into another car). At EA’s press conference, a live demonstration showed the player getting out during a crash, running through stairwells and across buildings before commandeering a police vehicle. Later on the player had to kick his way out of the car’s window in order to escape an oncoming train.
In order to bring the action to life, The Run will also be utilizing DICE’s Frostbite 2.0 engine, the powerhouse currently running Battlefield 3‘s impressive visuals. Expect more info on DICE’s latest military shooter as EA’s press conference continues.
EA @ E3 11: Mass Effect 3 dated March 6, 2012
After a couple of delays, Mass Effect 3 finally has an official release date: the game will be launching on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 on March 6 next year. Mass Effect 3 will be the last game in the trilogy, featuring scale not seen in the previous games, as well as the previously detailed Kinect support.
