Mama wants to pay attention as Majesco has a hefty slate of games lined up for next week’s E3 Expo.
Not surprisingly, the company’s E3 lineup is lead by two new games starring Mama: Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic for the 3DS and Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures for the DS. They also plan to showcase the side-scrolling vampire slaying in BloodRayne: Betrayal (PSN, XBLA) and a sequel to their latest exergaming hit, Zumba Fitness 2 (Wii).

House M.D. diagnoses DSi Shop today
Hugh Laurie’s “House” may be done for the season, but the good doctor will continue to practice on the DSi Shop this Summer in House M.D.: Globetrotting.
The Trauma Center-like title is joined in today’s DSi Shop update by B Team Episode 1: Dust & Steel, a “hilarious” squad-based shooter, and Valet Parking 1989, a parking puzzle game with a Big Hair Decade twist.
The Wii Shop will receive two new games this week, Shin’en Multimedia’s futuristic racer FAST: Racing League on the WiiWare side and the Super NES classic Super Adventure Island on the Virtual Console side.
More information on all of these games can be found after the break. (more…)
New Releases: Hunted, Sims 3 Generations, BlazBlue Continuum Shift II, More

The month of May didn’t start with many big releases and it comes to an end in much the same way.
There’s Bethesda’s co-op action-adventure Hunted: The Demon’s Forge for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360; the latest Sims 3 expansion, The Sims 3: Generations; and the 3DS/PSP conversion of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II. That’s pretty much it. See you in June.

Ubisoft’s E3 2011 lineup is full of familiar faces from the company’s strong stable of franchises. But the publisher has also promised several “exclusive new announcements,” so there’s sure to be a few surprises next month. Maybe they’ll even announce the long-awaited Beyond Good & Evil 2. Puzzle Quest added to DSi Shop today
As is their Monday custom, Nintendo has announced the latest downloadable games for the DSi and Wii today.
Leading today’s pack is a DSi Shop version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. The puzzle/RPG hybrid joined by 3D Twist & Match, another puzzler; and 99Bullets, a retro-tinged overhead shooter.
The Wii Shop received one game today, the Pipe Dreams-like Overflow. What? I’m the only person that remembers Pipe Dreams? Sounds about right.

New Releases: Dirt 3, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Kung Fu Panda 2, More

An eclectic quartet of games highlights this week’s new release slate.
First up, there’s Codemasters’ rally racing simulation Dirt 3 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Then, Tecmo Koei takes 2D fighting into the third dimension with the “in your face” Dead or Alive: Dimensions on the 3DS.
More fighting fun can be had with THQ’s Kung Fu Panda 2 game adaptation. The publisher has done something interesting with the game and targeted each version towards a different peripheral. The Wii version requires the uDraw Tablet while the Xbox 360 edition requires the Kinect add-on. DS and PS3 versions are also available, though they use more traditional control schemes.
Finally this week, the Duke is back in Duke Nukem: Critical Mass on the DS. And that means we’re only three weeks from his glorious return on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Daily Scoop: May 20, 2011 – 99 problems & a glitch ain’t one
I’ve been playing L.A. Noire since Tuesday, and this game is glorious. I haven’t had a single glitch (knock on wood), which is the opposite of the experience I had when playing Red Dead Redemption. In fact, I’ve been playing so much of the game that when I saw a girl walking down the street today with a shirt that said “I adore L.A.,” my brain automatically added the “Noire,” and I thought about what a great marketing strategy that would be for Rockstar.
Anyway! Amazon’s Deal of the Day in video games today is Activision’s Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2010 with Gun Bundle for the Wii, which is just $19.99. I feel like this is what Amazon defaults to whenever they can’t figure out what to put up for their daily deal. Lame. They have added some new stuff to their clearance sale, though, so go crazy.
No game-related shirts today, but this awesome “Arrested Development”-inspired shirt over at Ript is tempting me:
I would love to play an Arrested Development game. See how many drinks Lucille can down before noon!
