Kingdom Hearts III is getting a Toy Story world and it’ll officially be released in 2018
“To Infinity… and Beyond!”
The Kingdom Hearts franchise has yet to cross over with Star Wars, but the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III will be exploring new and never-before-seen worlds, including a visit to Pixar’s Toy Story universe. You can watch as Sora meets Woody and Buzz Lightyear in the brand new trailer embedded above.
The new trailer follows Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy to Andy’s room as they join Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Hamm, Rex, and Sarge’s investigation into the disappearance of their fellow toys and Andy, and the emergence of the Heartless enemies in their world. Featuring an original storyline, fans will get a first look at the dynamic trio’s Toy Story-themed looks, all-new toys, such as the Gigas, and special Keyblades that transform and give Sora unique attacks to unleash on Heartless enemies.
“At long last, we are excited to open up the Kingdom Hearts universe to include the world of Pixar’s Toy Story,” said Tetsuya Nomura, the Director of the Kingdom Hearts series. “I’m sure fans have been anticipating the inclusion of this world for many years. The narrative will be an original story exclusive to Kingdom Hearts III, and the gameplay will feel characteristic of the Toy Story style and aesthetic. Please stay tuned for more details to be revealed soon.”
Toy Story‘s inclusion in Kingdom Hearts III was revealed this weekend at Disney’s D23 Expo, and Square Enix also confirmed (after hinting at it for several months) that the game will officially launch in 2018 for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Xbox Store Today: Serial Cleaner, Fatal Fury Special, DeadCore
It’s Friday, and Microsoft has added a trio of new games to the Xbox Games Store for the Xbox One.
First up is Serial Cleaner, an overhead action/stealth that asks players to take control of “The Cleaner,” a Tarantino-esque character who disposes of bodies for the mob.
Also available to download today is Fatal Fury Special, a fighting game that was originally released for the NeoGeo in 1993. Fatal Fury Special is actually a “powered-up” version of Fatal Fury 2, and it includes more characters, more speed, and the unique two-lane arenas the franchise is known for.
Finally today, Xbox One owners will have the chance to download DeadCore, a first-person platformer that blends “exploration, speedrunning, and puzzles” in a futuristic world.
You can learn more about all three of these titles after the break. (more…)

The most popular game show in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is “German… Or Else!”
Bethesda and MachineGames helped build the alternate universe of Wolfenstein: The New Order through an awesome collection of supplemental material including its Nazi Pop soundtrack and chilling “newsreel” footage of a Swastika on the Moon.
Though B.J. Blazkowicz survived to star in this Fall’s sequel, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, things still aren’t looking great for the citizens of the United States. The Nazis control everything… even the airwaves. And this short clip from German… Or Else, the most popular game show in the game’s universe, is absolutely terrifying:
It’s not enough for the Nazis to simply subjugate the planet. That’s why they are even imposing their will on pop culture, taking what would have been iconic American TV shows and producing them with a uniquely German attitude. Watch an episode of German… Or Else! right now to get a feel for life under Nazi tyranny in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
Yikes. This is actually the second entry in a series of videos created by Bethesda and MachineGames depicting the German takeover of American television. You can find the Lassie-inspired adventures of Liesel, a massive robotic attack dog, after the break.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 27. (more…)

Travel back to the 1930s and watch Conan play Cuphead with Kate Upton on Clueless Gamer
Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Conan O’Brien and another episode of Clueless Gamer!
The comedian traveled down to the dingy Clueless Gamer set last night to play Studio MDHR’s Cuphead. Heavily inspired by 1930s animation (like Fleischer’s Superman cartoons), Cuphead is a side-scrolling shooter that’s designed for two players. So naturally, Conan decided to call up supermodel Kate Upton and asked her to hold his second controller.
Upton wasn’t very interested in their “date,” but she was actually pretty good at Cuphead. If this whole modelling thing doesn’t work out, she’s definitely got a future in the video game industry.
The highly-anticipated Cuphead is currently in its final stages of development, and will be released for the PC and Xbox One on September 29.
What Remains of Edith Finch will be released for the Xbox One next week
Annapurna Interactive and Giant Sparrow have announced that What Remains of Edith Finch, their “collection of strange tales about a family in Washington State,” will soon be available to download for the Xbox One. The adventure game received rave reviews (which are front and center in the new trailer embedded above) after its debut on the PS4 and PC earlier this year, and the mysterious story at its center is a big reason why:
As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she’s the last one in her family left alive. Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day.
What Remains of Edith Finch will be released for the Xbox One on July 19.

Xbox Store Today: Minecraft Story Mode S2E1, Iron Crypticle, MotoGP 17, more
A quartet of new games are now available to download from the Xbox Games Store for the Xbox One…
We start things off with Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2, the latest episodic adventure series from Telltale Games. Season 2 picks up right where the first season left off, and Episode 1: Hero In Residence introduces a mysterious gauntlet for Jesse and friends to deal with, as well as an ancient underwater temple and “at least one” temperamental llama.
Speaking of creepy crypts, the developers at Confused Pelican and TikiPod will bring Iron Crypticle to the Xbox One today. It looks like the twin-stick shooter was inspired by Smash TV and Gauntlet, and it also features four-player cooperative gameplay and a feline shopkeeper that’s always one step ahead of you.
If you’re looking for tricky puzzles, Black the Fall from Sand Sailor Studio and Square Enix might be for you. Starring an old machinist toiling under an oppressive dictatorship, players will need to figure out a way to escape this dystopian nightmare.
Finally today, Milestone is back with another motorcycle racing sim for the Xbox One. MotoGP 17 includes all the bikes, teams, and tracks from the 2017 Championship season, as well as online play and a new cooperative mode.
You can learn more about all of these games after the break. (more…)
