Bethesda releases animated prequel series for Dishonored

Bethesda’s Dishonored is one of the few non-sequels scheduled for release this Fall. As such, the publisher has been attempting to introduce gamers to the world of Dunwall with a series of developer diaries and plenty of trailers showcasing the steampunkish setting.

This week, they’ve gone a step further with the release of “The Tales From Dunwall,” a three-part series of animated shorts narrated by Chloe Grace Moretz (Hit-Girl from Kick-Ass) and scored by Dexter‘s Daniel Licht.

Hit the jump to view all three vignettes and prepare yourself for Dishonored’s PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 release on October 9.

Mass Effect Trilogy coming to PC, Xbox 360 in November; PS3 release coming later

By now, you’ve probably heard a lot of people call the Mass Effect franchise the “Star Wars Trilogy of Video Games.” But are you one of the many who has bypassed the series up to this point? If so, does EA have a deal for you.

The publisher has announced they’ll be packaging together the three games of the series as the Mass Effect Trilogy on November 6. Initially available only on the PC and Xbox 360, a PS3 version will be available “at a later date.” The first game in the series was never released on the PS3, so this Trilogy re-release means Mass Effect will finally make its way to Sony’s system. A separate PSN download of the game will also be available on this “later date.”

The Mass Effect Trilogy will be available for $59.99 and should be great preparation for EA’s first annual “N7 Day,” a November 7 celebration of all things Mass Effect.

Hopefully We’ll find out exactly what happens on “N7 Day” soon.

Daily Scoop: September 27, 2012 – Nearly the weekend

Thursday is always such a tease. It’s not quite the weekend, but it’s so close that it’s tempting. We know there’s still one more full day until we can have our temporary, brief freedom, and that it will drag on forever. The weekend itself will be whisked by in a flash, and we’ll be back into the week before we know it. But hey, at least we are closer to it today than we were yesterday!

No deals today, folks. Sorry! I’ve personally been fixated the last few days on Call of Duty: Black Ops II and whether or not I should pre-order it. The Nuketown 2025 map is just taunting me at this point. I want to play it! Give it to me.

Two shirts for you today…

Injustice: Gods Among Us Collector’s Edition includes most awesome/ridiculous statue ever

If you lay down your $99.99 to purchase the Injustice: Gods Among Us Collection’s Edition, available in April for the PS3 and Xbox 360, you’ll receive the statue above among your box of goodies. Look at it, I mean really look at it… Wonder Woman has lassoed Batman around the throat and is about to crush him with the spaceship that little Kal-El (AKA Superman) used to fly to Earth.

Deserves a place of honor on your mantle doesn’t it?

In addition to the 13″ statue, purchasers will receive a “Special Collector’s Edition” of a brand new DC Comics series, a digital download of DC Universe animated film Justice League: Doom, and three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman from DC’s “New 52.”

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios are packing a different (and superior) statue in with the Injustice Collector’s Edition in the UK. You can check out that awesome piece after the break.
