CoD Black Ops Rezurrection trailer investigates the undead in space

The Call of Duty Zombie Lab has been perfecting ways to kill zombies since 1943 and now the red undead menace has appeared on the moon. So naturally, that requires new (and creative) ways to kill the flesh eaters.

Thankfully, we get a hilarious look at those creative killing implements in the awesome live action intro to “Zombie Authority,” the first Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection trailer. It’s too bad they don’t know how to spell “Resurrection” though.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection pack will be available to download from Xbox Live on August 23 with PC and PS3 downloads coming next month.

BioWare begins Round 2 of voting for Mass Effect 3’s official “FemShep”

BioWare asked the people and the people have spoken. With all the votes tallied, the public vastly preferred “Shepard 5” (the one that looks like Samus Aran) as the model for the official female Shepard in Mass Effect 3. But an equally large group has also spoken and declared Shepard 5’s blonde hair the mark of a bimbo, so BioWare has opened up a second round of voting to decide the official female Shepard’s official hair color.

As of right now, redhead Shepard is winning with more than 13,000 Likes on BioWare’s Facebook page. Brunette Shepard is in a distant second and a pair of blonde Shepards (one bleached and one dirty) are bringing up the rear.

I guess blondes don’t have more fun.

The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower coming to Europe in 2012

Nintendo of Europe has revealed their latest release schedule, and at the very, very bottom, there are two names we’ve all been hoping to see: The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower. The release date just says “Coming to Europe in 2012.”

I know it’s too soon to crack out the champagne bottle, and that we can’t consider Operation Rainfall a success just yet, but I have to admit, I let out a whoop of joy when I saw this. I understand that Nintendo doesn’t have to cater to us, but in the end, we are the hardcore gamers Nintendo keeps saying they want to please, the ones who have been desperately importing games and playing ROMs for years. Why not give in to the untapped potential that is our undying love for your quirky JRPGs… not to mention our wallets, which have Zelda maps on them? (No, seriously. My wallet really does.)

Epic Games has five new games in development

The president of Epic Games, Michael Capps, announced at Gamescom that the company is working on five games.

“We have five new games at various stages of prototyping and development,” Capps said, though had no other details to give, other than that he is “glad to be targeting the PC again as a primary platform.” They’re currently wrapping up Gears of War 3 and finishing the Unreal Engine 4.

I don’t know about you, but just the thought of a new Unreal Tournament game is making me all tingly. I could really go for some Unreal Tournament 3 deathmatch right about now.

Toy Soldiers: Cold War Review: You Want a War? You Got a War!

Seattle-based Signal Studios delighted gamers last year with their debut title Toy Soldiers, a tower defense game that oozed style as you fulfilled your childhood fantasies of blowing the crap out of little plastic soldiers and tanks. Now they’re back with a sequel, which moves the conflict from World War I to the good ol’ days of the Cold War – because, well, who doesn’t enjoy blasting commie toys to smithereens?
