Rocksteady wants us to “Be the Batman” in live-action trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight

  • A firefighter running into a burning building.
  • A group of passengers confronting a bully on the train.
  • A basketball player basketballs with a broken finger.
  • A kid who decides to single-handedly fight off a gang of muggers.

These are the “Everyday Heroes” that Rocksteady Studios has decided to honor in their live-action “Be the Batman” trailer/commercial. You apparently don’t need billions of dollars and an arsenal of high-tech toys to fight crime or make the world a better place, you just need Batman’s selflessness, determination, and courage.

On the other hand… the basketball player is an athlete and while “playing through the pain” might make him heroic to his teammates, he’s not exactly making the world a better place or promising to hit two home runs for a dying kid like Babe Ruth did. And the poor mugging victim in the alley is going to get himself killed as the only guy who walks away from a three-on-one fight is The Batman.

Batman: Arkham Knight will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 23, which is just a little over a month away from today.

Batman: Arkham Knight adds Ashley Greene, Jonathan Banks, John Noble, more to cast

WB Games has released an extended trailer highlighting the voice cast of Batman: Arkham Knight… and I suggest you watch it right now if you’ve ever wanted to hear John Noble cackle about driving the Batmobile. Yes, first things first, WB Games has finally confirmed that Noble will be voicing The Scarecrow. The Fringe and Sleepy Hollow star will be joined by a battery of new players including Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) as Commissioner Gordon, Ashley Greene (Twilight) as Barbara Gordon/Oracle, and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) as Dick Grayson/Nightwing. And everyone’s favorite Batman, Kevin Conroy, takes over the beginning the trailer with some quality bat-monologuing.

Tara Strong (Harley Quinn), Troy Baker (Two-Face), and Nolan North (The Penguin) will also lend their voices to the game, though they don’t appear in the trailer. Batman: Arkham Knight will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 23.

WB Games reveals contents of Batman: Arkham Knight’s Season Pass including Batgirl mission

batmanarkhamknight-batgirlEarlier this week, WB Games announced a Season Pass for Batman: Arkham Knight, but failed to reveal what sorts of content the DLC subscription would contain. This weekend, the publisher decided to rectify that mistake by sharing more details of the Season Pass with the public (via their Official Forum).

The biggest piece of content in the Season Pass is definitely “Batgirl: A Matter of Family,” a story expansion that will allow players to play as Batgirl for the first time. The prequel story will serve as the first of three story expansions, along with the previously mentioned Batmobile Skins, Character Skins, and Challenge Maps. Here’s what else you’ll find in the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass:

Batgirl: A Matter of Family – An all new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where you play as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series – check out the first render of Batgirl.

The Season of Infamy – Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary supervillains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.

Gotham City Stories – Play as Batman’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Legendary Batmobiles With Themed Tracks – Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.

Crimefighter Challenge Maps – Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.

Character Skins – A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman.

Batman: Arkham Knight will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 23. The Season Pass, which has been priced at $39.99, is available to pre-order now.

Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass announced… sort of

batmanarkhamknight-header

WB Games has announced that Batman: Arkham Knight buyers can also purchase a Season Pass, which will entitle them to “six months” of additional content after the game’s launch. However, that content is still very much a mystery. You might even says it’s… an enigma.

According to the announcement, the Season Pass will include “new Story Missions, additional supervillains invading Gotham City, legendary Batmobile Skins, advanced Challenge Maps, alternative Character Skins, and new drivable Race Tracks.” The exact mix of Skins, Tracks, and additional Story Missions wasn’t announced, but WB Games did say the Season Pass will be priced at $39.99. A digital-only Premium Edition, which includes Arkham Knight and its Season Pass, will also be available for $99.99. The Arkham games are always packed with content, but $39.99 seems kind of steep for a Season Pass with a big question mark on it.

Batman: Arkham Knight will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 23. And don’t forget to check out the game’s brand new trailer, “All Who Follow You,” which was released yesterday.

Batman: Arkham Knight “All Who Follow You” Trailer… Play as Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman

As promised, Rocksteady Studios released a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight, which confirms gamers will be able to play as Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman in the upcoming game. Taking a page from Grand Theft Auto V, Arkham Knight’s “Dual Play” mechanic will allow players to “switch seamlessly between The Dark Knight and his allies.”

After watching this trailer, I’m more convinced than ever that Batman is going to need all the help he can get. He may be “Vengeance” and “The Night,” but the Arkham Knight has a whole army…

Batman: Arkham Knight will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 23.

Batman: Arkham Knight pushed back three weeks to June 23

WB Games and Rocksteady Studios have announced Batman: Arkham Knight won’t make its previously announced June 2 release date. But fear not, the game has only been pushed back three weeks, and will be available worldwide for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 23. According to a statement by Rocksteady’s Sefton Hill, the delay is due to the fact the developer don’t want to make compromises with the final product:

“We’re a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it’s going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy.”

To go along with the release date delay, WB Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Arkham Knight, “Officer Down,” that shows the Caped Crusader chasing down a lead on Scarecrow’s whereabouts.
