Nintendo bashes into PAX 2014 with Smash Bros. 4, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, more

Are you attending next weekend’s PAX Prime convention? If so, you’ll have a chance to try out Nintendo’s entire Fall lineup as the consolemaker is planning to display ten games on the show floor.
But if you live in the Seattle area you couldn’t make it into PAX Prime, don’t worry, The Big N has got you covered. On Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30 the company will pop in to various public spots in Seattle with copies of Super Smash Bros. For 3DS in hand. To find out where, follow along with Nintendo’s Twitter feed and keep an eye out for the #SmashBash hashtag.
Nintendo will also hold a special after hours event for Hyrule Warriors at Renaissance Seattle Hotel (515 Madison St.) on Friday from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Fans will be allowed inside on a first-come, first-served basis, but you can jump to the head of the line if you cosplay as your favorite character from The Legend of Zelda.
Both games will also be available on the PAX Prime show floor, along with Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros. For Wii U, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and several others.
Hit the jump for the complete list. (more…)
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker E3 2014 trailer is painfully adorable
I think we can all agree that, while the same old question of “Who won E3 – Sony or Microsoft?” has still been going around, the truth is that Nintendo surprised and pleased everyone. The trailer for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is no exception to this. The levels are colorful and whimsical, and the ability to switch to first-person view with the GamePad made me want the game right now.
Luckily, the wait won’t be that long, as the projected release date for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on the Wii U is this holiday season.
